ah, i posted yesterday that i didn't see why atlanta would move hunter after they were able to dump collins, but i guess maybe they're prioritizing bey. not sure i'd make that choice. i'd trade beasley for hunter or bogi, but i'm not sure the lakers management does it. i think they want to just dump beasley's money to cover other costs.

looking like the structure i posted a while back may be what we're hoping to do:

    lebron 53
    AD 40
    russell 20
    rui 16
    reaves 12
    bamba 10
    lonnie 7
    DS 5
    vando 5
    christie 2
    jhs 3
    lewis (vet min)
    other vet min
    other vet min
    two ways

i think this keeps us under the second apron.

I think you're right, we could dump both our pieces for him and still shed $4.8m. That's probably still more than we're looking to spend but another option.

(Had to include Vit for 125% trade rule, needed $1.6m and he was the closest)

There’s only one reason to have a Beasley or Seth Curry on your team and that’s to make 3’s.Clearly Curry is the better player at doing such as I originally stated.Beasley is due 16.5mil next season. Seth made half that last year so again as I originally stated he’s cheaper.if they are on the team or not is irrelevant to my statement

According to Stein Mavs and Suns discussed an Ayton deal that could be revisited.

Suns shouldn't let McGee hold up that deal, a 3-for-1 is exactly the type of deal they need to get depth. They're not going to like all 3 players. No one is gifting them 3 players without some blemishes.

I assume he's not pulling that out of a hat but doesn't have it sourced enough to report on. Random. Really trying to win over an entire country and their fan base.

I'd certainly entertain the idea of a one year deal for the minimum if he shakes free.

i think you can argue a) seth curry is not better than beasley at this point (both are bad), and b) we don't yet know what curry and beasley will cost next year, which is what matters. last year's salaries don't, nor does beasley's team option amount, as we could still sign him for less after declining the option.

and again, i'd really just rather not employ anyone who can only shoot and doesn't defend or do anything else. my issue with the beasley story was that it seemed we decided that there weren't circumstances in which he'd return. i'm like--so if you declined the option and he said he'd come back for 5 million, you wouldn't consider it?

    Hawks could still move Hunter
    Utah and Reaves?
Houston's interest in.... well, everyone, including Reaves.
Rockets could dump KJ Martin for more flexibility

Pacers are an expected suitor for Barnes.

Kings could be a landing spot for Kuz
Prince could be cut free from Minny, giving them access to their full mid level for DiVincenzo (also in play for NY) or Brown
SA looking for another high end big
Wiz looking for draft compensation for Morris and Wright. Gallo heading to a buyout.
Powell available out of Clipper land

Notice who NO one is talking about …. sound of crickets chirping? Westbrook. Anyone think he will pull anywhere close to a TPMLE if he doesn’t sign for even less with the Clips?

    Nope.

Tracking towards staying for the minimum with the "promise" of a pay bump from them the following summer. We've seen those promises go sideways in the league before.

I don't get it though. I thought he was going to be the hottest name on the market. With teams falling over themselves for him.

They got a look at what him “balling out” in his contract / career year looked like this past season. Both the good and the bad. Unfairly for him though, even after he got to the clippers, because of LeBron’s foot injury he and AD still didn’t play many games together. Which has always explained away all the negatives in his game now.

If Dlo is not brought back:

    1. Sign Carter for 4 years/ 52 million, with team options on years 2 and 3.

    2. Trade Beasley and a future 2nd to Milwaukee for Portis.

    Gives us an interesting rotation:

    PG: Reaves / JHS
    SG: Carter / Lewis
    SF: Christie / Vanderbilt
    PF: James/ Hachimura
    C: Davis / Portis

They'd never trade him to us but I'd like to get Powell. Career 39% from three and can handle the ball a bit and get to the rim. I think a backcourt with him and Reaves would be pretty nice.

Yes please. Having to watch Ayton completely disappear in games will further frustrate Luka- leading him eventually into our Purple and Gold arms!

Wonder if Prince could be had for the min. I like the fit. How is he only 29?
