Some of these names could totally be in a new version of the “East vs. West Bowl” from “Key and Peel.”
They actually had one character as just “Fudge.”

And it wasn’t like early on Vandy didn’t have some games where he knocked down multiple 3s. Definitely can improve there and other areas on offense with Handy working with him on things not too much of a reach to become decent at.

Latest mocking from Givony today for ESPN INSIDER

First time I've seen anyone list our targets

    Round 2

They have Smith Jr going 18 and there's a little more on our interest in him mentioned in Miami's paragraph

Here's where they have some of the other guys:
    Lively 10
    Bufkin 12
    Hawkins 14
    Wallace 15
    Coulibaly 16
    Podziemski 19
    OMP 20
    Clowney 21
    Rupert 23
    Murray 24

i think i actually might prefer podziemski to george and smith if that's what it comes down to.

keep getting the feeling we're moving this pick, though.

Like him a lot late in the first as a SG who's ready to get burn as a rookie. BUT with AR and Christie, I don't think that makes sense.

so many good sgs in this draft. part of why i like podziemski as a combo guard.

also think moving down and taking clowney, murray, or even gambling on gg jackson might be more interesting than a nick smith pick.

Finally some intriguing names with first round value. Both Cissoko and Sheppard late 1st round guys, which is interesting.

I like the passing vision. He’s most likely not going to get much burn anyway this season. Why not develop him for a year and then see what he could do the following season? I could see Austin, Max, and Sheppard playing with each other as a speedy crew against the opponent’s bench unit in a few years.

I would be absolutely behind trading down for 26/32 or something like that.
Do you think we are doing it? That's kind of a dig on LeBron (which I LOVE) but not sure we are there

Been watching clips of Wemby lately and am torn between thinking he needs to add 40 pounds of muscle and he'll always be injured, to how many titles will the Spurs win in a 10-year period. Some of that stuff is hoops porn, but let's see how he plays against the best in the world.

(Key and Peele): I wonder where these guys will go in the draft:

    D'Squarius Green, Jr
    Tyroil Smoochie-Wallace
    Hingle McCringleberry
    Leoz Maxwell Jilliumz
L'Carpetron Doomarriot, who I hope the C-Bags make a deal for, he doesn't pan out, and is just part of the reason the Bags go 7-75 next year.

Pass. If that's how it falls, that's going to sting Wallace at 15 and Hawkins at 16.

I'd much rather have the picks at 18, 19, or 20 over George at 17--OMP, Podziemski, Sheppard.

yeah, george is actually really similar to russell, but not as talented, imo. wallace and hawkins are going to be long-term nba players.

i actually don't like sheppard as a first rounder. i like podziemski better than george, smith, or sheppard, tbh.

if things shake out like this, i'd move down to the bottom of the first/early second and try to nab two of murray/howard/clowney/whitehead.

    still hoping wallace falls...c'mon other teams...his game isn't sexy...you don't want him...

It's going to be fun to see how Rob navigates this offseason. He kind of raised the bar at the trade deadline to pretty unsustainable levels, but we can always hope.

the scouting team has also raised the bar to sort of unreasonable territory, imo. it's gotten to where i expect a) to be surprised and b) pleasantly so.

Da hell is this draft? PG PG/SG PG SG PG/SG...

I want us to draft a young promising 6'11" PF.

bigs are slim pickins this year. walker (a pretty small big) and hendricks (same) are both going lotto, as might lively. after that, the next most interesting is probably clowney, who's 6'10" and athletic but skinny and quite raw. we could probably trade down and still take him, as i suggested above.

still interested in kobe brown in the second round, but he's an undersized big like walker (both in the draymond mold, so really pfs).

it's a guard-heavy draft, and honestly, not even a lot of pgs.
