Can’t give Reaves any more 3 ball shot opportunities than he’s already getting, it wouldn’t leave enough bricks for Bron to shoot.
How were we up 15 and in command, then I fold laundry for a few minutes and come back and we’re down 7??
LOL .... yeah I was watching 2 1/2 hours late and we're cruising in the 2nd quarter looking great and I have my phone turned over to not see any updates pop up on it, and made the mistake of wanting to engage an app for something else, and even with lalalalalala (visually instead of while covering ears ) going on, at the bottom of the screen my brain registered "Den adv" and I knew. At that point mixed emotions. Wondering how we were going to lose it, but semi relieved as I hoped no one got hurt in game 4 and knew there was more opportunity for injuries the longer we dragged out trying to win 4 straight. Plus was able to just sit back and watch the rest of the game without the insane swings of emotion and watch specific players more carefully. Was happy to see we battled to the end again and the margin of defeat so very low.
Was just wondering how we’d have turned out if we went with the Westbrook and two frps for Hield and Turner, seeing how drastically we improved with depth and not Russ. Let’s assume we still made the Rui and Bamba trades: Reaves/Dennis Hield/Walker Lebron/Brown AD/Rui Turner/Bamba Hield probably does his best Beasley impression, and DLo was way better during the regular season. We also gave up one less future first. The spilled milk is the AD Turner front court that would have massively helped against Denver.
Yeah it is what it is , Denver was better . It sucks because I won't bet my house on Bron and AD being both available for another postseason before Bron retired. It's ok as long as Foston doesn't win
Really missed opportunity: Denver was the better team but this was as close as two teams could be and still be swept. Each game came down to 1 or 2 possessions where the ball bounced the Lakers way and the game would have been flipped. Lebron not blowing a tendon and Lakers crush either Miami or Boston. Denver in a sweep or in 5. Spoelstra's a great coach but Denver's top 6 guys just way better than the Heats.
yeah, it sucks, but lebron was hurt, and denver played their very best ball at the right time. as soldier said above, this may just be how it goes--lebron and AD making it a full season and playoffs intact seems unlikely. but at least we were in it, and we should be again next year if we manage the summer competently (i.e., don't let lebron/AD manage the summer).
If Ham brought out the right lineup, I think we would have won game one. If we won game 1, I believe we would have won the series. We then would meet the Heat. Maybe if Lebron didn't go full on to get the record, he might have not got hurt right after. If Lebron was 100%, we would have won.
