Yes, he is going to go to the opposite corner of the country to an OK team to be as far from his family as possible right after his son commits to USC.

No one is going to pay Lebron 40 million per except the Lakers for 2 more years.

Taking away feasibility due to CBA/salary cap: I think there are ton of teams which would.
You add Lebron to Knicks or Cleveland as an example - they be happy to pay 40 million to James as their shot a title would go a lot

Pretty much every team would. He just scored 40 in a conference finals. He's still an elite player. If you add that to all the attention (which means a lot of money) he brings to your franchise, it's a no-brainer.

Of course teams wouldn't trade a Jamal Murray, a Donovan Mitchell or a Brunson for him. But his contract does not make any team not wanting him

    Btw, WHAT A PERFORMANCE!
This is what greats do. What he did yesterday, notably in the Q1 is unbelievable. Then going for 40, a near triple-double and taking on Murray or Jokic on defense is what a leader do.
He needed someone to carry us during the 3rd quarter when he was saving energy for the 4th.

He tried it all and that's what I want my stars to do. I'm still not a fan, but he gained massive respect from me after yesterday's game

Bron was terrific and he's worth every penny. No one would trade super talented young players for him because of his age, but from the business perspective having Bron on your team is absolutely worth it. He's still an amazing player who had to play on one leg; that injury will likely require surgery to repair. Aside from his random threes, I am very pleased with his effort (on both ends!) and leadership in the playoffs. Respect.

LOL …. I liked OX’s post above but then was talked off that logic wise by the next three replies. Can’t be a weeny to change the original like. Though I have certainly done that if the original like hasn’t sat more than a couple minutes and hope no one notices.

Is it possible for us to S&T D-lo for Kyrie while still allowing us to resign Rui and AR? I know a sign and trade hardcaps you, but I'm not sure what number that is.

I'm not saying I necessarily WANT this, but a team of Lebron, Kyrie, AD, AR and Rui with a couple of our other good role players could do damage...if Kyrie doesn't go to Nepal during the middle of the playoffs in order to find himself.

this is going on in multiple threads, but the short answer is it's possible and HIGHLY improbable. would require rui signing for less and kyrie signing for less. and the magic number is 170ish. that's the hard cap if you bring in a s&t.

i don't even understand the odds on lebron joining ny. he can't join anyone if he retires. does no one bother to check anything before publishing it?

On the flip side, he's the oldest guy on the team, 3rd oldest in the entire league. He just played the most minutes on our team in the playoffs, with a bum foot. With all this younger, deeper, more talented group that we had? Nobody is advocating a complete teardown but some moves can most definitely be made. Kyrie is nigh impossible, but the media will hype it to death. There are other options out there, and Rob should absolutely pay attention to what Lebron wants too.

Lebron with his Brett Favre moment. He’ll milk this from here on out.

    “Beg me to stay”
    “Tell me you love me”
“Bring in whoever I want to play with”

    Good times ahead.

You guys should realize this fake retirement comment was just a big “F-U!” To Mike Malone. It worked, because everyone was talking about it today instead of the Nuggets.

Getting swept is hard but you have AD, you found your third banana in Reaves, Rui a rotational playoff guy, DS a rotational playoff guy.
At least Vando, DLo can eat up a lot of regular season minutes

All the players including Lebron seem like Ham: considering this is the team that got to the WCF and beat two very good teams to do it, I think it would be weird for Lebron to walk away frankly. I think this is a power play for better or worse to make sure the Lakers keep trying to improve the roster. I would stay away from forcing a move as that really didn't work out well last time - let Rob make the moves
