...on the main stage, is something Harden likes to hear in Houston.

Anything’s possible. We’re in better shape than our green rivals, that’s for sure. But we need to win both games in LA. Drop one, and we’re done. That even rhymes! But if we manage to tie the series, I’d tend to trust our experience more than Denver’s offensive firepower. Let’s see what happens tonight!

Not about to hang my head one bit. This team exceeded expectations after the trade deadline. Things I’d like to see in order:
    1) Re-sign AR
    2) Bring back Rui
    3) Sign a backup/starter big that Ham will actually play
    4) Bring back Dennis
    5) Bringing back Vando is a no brainer on his contract

    Everyone else can go IMO

My guess is they throw Bamba in next game but our inability to defend Murray is absolutely nuts.

Objectively really hard for a team with one of their stars on a bad foot and who made so many changes to win.

Team was playing so well and it's not like they got blown out against Denver upped the expectations.

Reaves growth makes it much easier to figure out what you need. Rui is a solid backup forward.DS is a solid backup PG.

Need a backup big and another threat at wing on both offense and defense. They have Max waiting but add on a Bruce Brown type would be nice

Damn. Gotta hand it to Malone and his guys: they went on the road and played a near-perfect game, so we are mos def screwed.

That was a muthah of a game to watch. Lakers storm back, take a lead. Nuggets: Let's quiet this crowd: 3: swish. Stop. 3: swish. Stop. 3: swish: back up by 8 in 75 seconds. Crowd: tumbleweeds.

First time I've felt deflated as a Laker fan since late February.

And yea: the Denver Nuggets are a better team than us. Unless we win 4 straight: they're are better by the most objective metric anyone has ever devised: scoreboard.

All year, when I watched 'em I saw this. They had a lull where they lost a bunch 'cuz they were so far in 1st. But for the most part they're a well-oiled machine, led by the big Serb and Jamaal and a bunch of role players who really know their roles. The national press has never taken them seriously (zero Finals appearances since they joined in the NBA merger/expansion from the old ABA), and they're not on one of the coasts. This may be their year.

We started 2-10, we were not supposed to be here, most of the season mathematically we weren’t even supposed to make the play-in. Hell we even almost lost that first play-in game, this team never quit and it was a miracle we got this far. We got rid of Russ and added players that could be here for years to come along the way, this season based on how it started was a success. AD, please don’t be a jinx, will also finish the season HEALTHY, that’s a win. Denver is just the better team, they have been building to this for years now, their time has come. Our player are mostly in their first ever WCF, guys like Reaves and Rui have performed more than admirably. I’m not mad about this at all, I would have been to the Grizzlies who have earned nothing, and the Warriors with the worst fans in the NBA, but not this team. The future is at least brighter than it was last off-season as well, we have good young players to keep progressing, we have some draft picks, I’m looking forward to what’s next rather than dreading another season of Westbrook.

Proud AF of this Laker Team... Far exceeded any hope & expectations I had for this Season.
Would love to see Reaves & Rui back next year.. That's at pretty good start.

I truly did not have any expectations this round. I wanted to see how we matched up and Denver was just a bit better all around. Their pieces fit, they are healthy and in their prime. It looks like this might be their year. I do like how we have fought. Sometimes it just doesn't go your way.

Best part of this run is that we found our identity and we know who fits and who doesn't.
Before the playoffs --- DLO and Beasley is our future back court!
Now --- Keep Reaves and Rui at all costs, maybe Vando and Dennis too. Sign DLO to a reasonable deal as a trade chip. The rest can go.

The team came together at the trade deadline, dug itself out of a hole and made the western conference finals. We are in a much better position than we were before. We have a group we can build on and make work moving forward.

If we make a few tweaks to the roster, next year can be our year we get the next one. We really do have to put this into perspective:

    - Obviously the start to the season
    - We remade the entire team at the deadline
    - LeBron was averaging 30+ before his injury
    - We beat a legit number two seed in Memphis
    - AD proved he can be the consistent, elite defender we need him to be
    - We knocked off the defending champs
    - We played the #1 seed who is virtually unbeatable at home and had the lead in every game this series in the 4th quarter despite a hobbled LeBron and struggling guard play

We don't have to give either of these POS team cancers a championship ring they 100% did not earn or deserve in any way, shape, or form.

Proud that they fought till the end. It was a roller coaster, but all told this was a good season in my eyes. We were 13th or 14th as recently as February! Very very proud of this group.

I've seen a lot of teams get swept, but never in 4 games that were such close ones. Man, that was a tough series.

Congrats to the Nuggets, who are not only the best team in the West, but started playing their best ball - as Miami is, too - in the Conference finals. I hope Denver beats Miami.

The Old Man is, "at the end of the day", just an unreal talent at 38. Good lawd what a great performance, all things considered.

This was the weirdest Laker season I can remember. I'd basically written them off by New Year's. And I had no reason to change my mind 6 weeks after that.

Then: largely by getting rid of an albatross around their neck, they became the 2nd best team in the West. Like I said, WEIRD. Just never wouldda believed it.

The off-season is not gonna be boring. I'd rather it was boring. But it won't be. Buckle up!
