I don't even know of that would work with no shooting. I'm sure Lakers would get great shooters with that duo. Giannis in a Lakers uniform is very possible in the near future, with or w/o AD.

I guess they are chosing Ayton over Williams. One of them had to go..I'm slightly surprised that it was Williams. I still haven't figured out,how the Suns are going to get Kyrie, but that wouldn't shock me either.

 

The Lakers formula for winning titles haven't changed. Pair a great big, with a great perimeter player. That's what we do, it's still effective in this modern NBA. AD doesn't shot 3's and this is one of Lebron's worst seasons from deep. This doesn't mean that both can't hit some big 3pt shots if needed. AD had the highest 3pt pct in the Orlando Finals.

We've always had some guys that could hit 3's, however we have never relied on it. Steph and Klay are a historic deep ball duo, still, they needed KD, one of the best midrange shooters of all time, to get by Cleveland.

I like being different, and I'm good with the Lakers formula. Let the other guys follow the crowd. Like I said earlier, Golden State is the only team that won a chip with that strategy.

 

And Durant needs to be on one of the most talented teams ever to win. He’s so overrated.

 

I think more to the Monty Williams story will be coming out. I thought he was under contract for a couple more years, so if so, they obviously felt something wasn't working out regardless of personnel issues.

 

really don't think monty williams was the problem there. he should get another chance. phx overperformed their talent during most of his tenure, imo.

 

Feels like there is more to this story for sure.

i doubt it. i would be supremely shocked if monty was like, harrassing colleagues or whatever. i think they just don't know what to do over there. they have basically no trade assets, and now paul knows they want to dump him for sure. they'll get nothing for him and very little for ayton, imo. changing the coach is the splashiest thing they can do.

man, if they get lue, my disgust will start to solidify.

yeah, show me the team that gives up anything of value for him, and i'll show you a really desperate team. it's like kyrie, but hasn't even won anything.

 

Just play basketball
