They already are by bringing back the franchise to relevancy with the 2020 title , our first in 10 years and after 6 missed postseasons in a row .

They're obviously not at the top of the GOAT Lakers list

To be remember as the duo who allowed the Lakers to surpass the C's bags in titles number would be very special though

They are all-time greats, but not at the top. Bron has a chance to reach the GOAT status as a Laker though, if he somehow, magically, leads this team to another championship.

They are both HOF'ers, and winning two titles together makes them in the greats conversation. That's all I can concede for now.

They could get to as high as 5 and 6.

Yes though I also think they are already there.

A title this year though would honestly be one of the greatest turnarounds and championship runs in sports history.

I’m not sure what the argument against them being Laker greats would be at that point.

    Just IMHO

Can never touch Magic/Kareem and crew
    Can never touch Shaq/Kobe
Can never touch Kobe/Pau (For me)
Could go further back in time, but then I start talking about stuff that I didn't watch.

Totally understandable. Taking personal bias out of it though, if they get another title or more, at least 1 of them would have to be above Pau. Probably both, if we're being objective.

Absolutely! Of course not on the epic level of the Showtime Dynasty, Shaq/Kobe three peat, but these guys might not be done yet either.

^^^ No kidding. What if LeBron gets "addicted" to playing in the Finals like CP2 and wants more?

I disagree. Remember back at what the Lakers were before we traded for Pau. We were a one trick pony with a net ZERO chance to even make the Finals.
Pau instantly turned us into a Contender.

So did Bron & AD. I love Pau, I'm just saying that objectively, Bron & AD are better than Pau, and if they win another title this year, they contributed more to their 2 titles than Pau did (although Pau contributed an enormous amount, don't win them without him, etc). If you look back at 2020, their play and stats are incredible. None of this is to diminish Pau, it's just saying that's how great Bron & AD are, and if they win this title, that's how great of Lakers they will be, #5 & #6.

James already is in the eyes of many since he brought the organization back to prominence. Davis working his way there.

because AD is better than Pau, I'd have to reluctantly agree.

I would slot them below Shaq/Kobe. Because of their ages (well more so lebron’s), I don’t see a scenario where they could catch Shaq/Kobe.

I do think a title this year makes LeBron a “made man” in LA. Some say he is now but I don’t agree that is the sentiment.

I do agree with this. I would rank them like that as well. Below Shaq/Kobe, above Kobe/Pau.

    "If they win"

If they don't, they go below them. And likely stay there for eternity.
