^^ That's very true. It seemed worse to me than it really was because by the end of the third he was still only 5 for 13 officially even though in the third (I missed the first half of the third where he started shooting better) he went 4 for 6. Even better in the fourth quarter however which I saw in its' entirety where he went 3 for 4. He managed to end up at 50% on the game which is pretty remarkable considering he started out the first half at 1 for 7!

Yeah he's done, doesn't deserve half his salary, doesn't even belong in the league anymore, it's sad. These are things "sources" and GM's recently said, reflect on how stupid they sound. Moronic haters, only injury can keep Kobe from being Kobe, keep waiting haters, you can pile on when he retires.

Every shot that went up I said "no way" right before it went through the basket. Just incredible. So few players can do that, it'll be a sad day when Kobe is gone.

Great game from him. Too bad we have Wesley Johnson as his wingmate.

Some classic Kobe fadeaways ... I like how he came shooting off screens in the OT ... That's something he can do and should do more imo ...

We'll see if he can get more baskets in the paint when the regular season begins ...

It's alright, when Nick gets back he's definitely be the SF closing or Kobe will be the SF and Young at SG

I can't believe these so called, "sports fanatics" aka morons that are trying to bring Kobe down, can't appreciate what he's doing right now.

Yea it's preseason, but he's scored 26/27/26 in the last 3 games.

One of the greatest of all time, coming off Achilles/knee surgery, looking pretty damn good so far and they are hating instead of respecting the game.

    It's sickening.

I'll never grow even remotely tired from watching Kobe Bryant play. The guy's still got it.

Has anyone else been impressed with Kobe's defense? Obviously he hasn't been perfect, but I really liked how active he has been. The foot speed is not what it used to be, and he still loses shooters, but he seems to be putting a conscious effort into trying hard on defense.

I love Kobe and i have seen it before... He'll forget about D 10-15 games in to the season :giggle: (minus the few Wade, Irving, Jennings matchups) ;).

I've been impressed with the effort certainly, maybe not the defense itself. But just the fact that our leader is out there busting his butt even now at 36 years old on the defensive end of the court is inspiring to the guys. He leads by example and the rest follow. Sure he'll get beat pretty often, but he'll go help the helper when it happens and he'll come down the floor the next possession and work his butt of again.

Awesome to watch an old lion with all the old lion tricks.

it really is a shame. I was thinking if it was anyone other than Kobe the sportsmedia would be all over it. Im really disappointed in the media all together. First Take was talking about PJax retweet of Flea's tweet and they basically brought it all down to it being Phil's fault because of his book from when he left the first time. Skip actually said that Phil was really just supporting his "good friend flea" and not supporting the actual comments on Kobe. I know I talk Lebron a lot but can you imagine if it was Lebron coming off Achilles/knee surgery and playing like Kobe is playing? There would already be MVP talk.

    Using some dumb logic:

Mavs have not attracted any big free agents. Nobody must want to play with Dirk.

Spurs have not attracted any big free agents. Nobody must want to play with Duncan.

Thunder have not attracted any big free agents. Nobody must want to play with Durant.

Knicks have not attracted any big free agents. Nobody must want to play with Melo.

You can apply this stupid logic to nearly every star player in the league.

Memo to ESPN: All the greats don't give out the warm and fuzzy vibe. 24 is no different. In the end, Abbott received what he wanted...notoriety and attention.

His jumper is still money when he starts focusing on the win. He probably won't drive as much this season, like what MJ did in his last threepeat, when he became the master of the fadeaway jumper.

Kobe's competitive instinct kicked in and he cracked himself up (smile) as he hit third of three down the stretch. Did Gervin average 25 ppg at this age? Can't think of a player who had 19 years on his legs and was still ready to lead the league in scoring without hurting his team--ever.

If he stays healthy, he's going to have a magical season.
