I think Ham is scored of the off ball screen navigation if Vando isn't in there desperately Rui looking good when he did get minutes

Throw in the zone when you need mores shooting but Ham will go with DS of Vando is out because he's a better chaser

Still he needs to get more minutes as he can bust open the zone and post some of the shrimps on GS present easily. It will be impossible those minutes would be able to reduce AD and Lebron minutes as well.

Agree with this, I expect Lebron and AD to get back down to about 38 mins. That’s an additional 6 and if he has it going offensively, he’ll steal some of DLO’s minutes too. I’m expecting him to get around 20-24 mins next game.

Mins are gonna be hard to find this series when we need Vando to guard Steph. I’d think hard about giving him all of Troys mins to be honest, dude got cooked defensively.

Troy did, but I don't think Rui can play that role. He's too big and not quick enough to chase and fight around those same screens against a 2 guard. If we can distribute that role to someone else on the court, great, let's get Rui out there.

Oh, yeah thats what I meant but wasn’t clear. Don’t want Rui to have Troy’s role, give that role to someone else and make room for Rui. We could use his size on the Wiggins.

You need to rest Vando sometime, he can’t be playing nonstop. So that leaves DS and Reaves chasing through screens. But they also need a rest.

So it’ll come down to this: would you rather DLO or Brown running through screens, I think Brown is the logical choice so DLO is fresh offensively. Unfortunately this means Rui’s minutes are lower when Lebron is playing 40 and AD 44 and when DLO has his game flowing.

It is what it is, if we make it to the next round, Rui will be paying a lot against MPJ and Gordon. Matchups are key.

LeBron shouldn’t be playing 40 with his injury and lack of steam. Give 5-7 of those to Rui.

    Our second best player tonight.

The shot is fully locked into money mode.

Problem is he's really not a chaser. Think he's going to be able to in only when he can guard the Greens or Wiggins

he's a guy i could see the spurs or magic test us on. but they're going to have to go up to 20 to make that happen, i think. not sure they'll do it.

rui's a guy that can probably play in any system, like reaves, but he's also not somebody a team--especially a rebuilding one--wants to break the bank for, imo.

would be great to keep him 15 per, preferably on a 3 year deal.

Rui had a good offensive game but on the defensive side, he just gets abused as a chase defender. It’s a practice shot for Klay when Rui is defending him.

Rui isn't that great against the Warriors. If we beat them, he would be a major factor against Denver, for example. It's all about the matchups.

Defensively it's rough, they look to get Klay or another smaller guy on him. The plus is that the shot is still pure and he still has the confidence at the highest level.

But yeah, there's 3 big forwards he would be crucial against in that potential series.

I like that he's still knocking down the open looks though. He's delivered on offense.

If we make it through against Denver he will be a huge contributor.

Yeah he's shown (and continues to do so) that he can be a great offensive punch off the bench but he doesn't have the footspeed for this series. Rather we go with Vando, Gabriel and Lonnie unless we need some scoring.

I notice that Rui has this weird habit, of stopping halfway during his closeouts, and just jumping up and "contesting " jumpers from 10 feet away. He's the only player I've ever seen, during that with the frequency he does. It's weird. It's like he decided that I'm not going to get there in time, so I might as well try to distract them. It actually worked last night.
