there's no denying how great giannis is, but man do i hate how he plays. his entire game is basically just go full speed ahead towards the hoop. and aside from his ability to finish and his defense, he can't do much else. can't shoot the 3, can't shoot FTs, isn't a great passer

if he came to LA, he'd get hurt in his first game and miss 6 months

He definitely is one dimensional, BUT he recently won a Chip being that way as the best player on his team.

He's going the Collison route. Hover around the team until we sign him.

Same. We also assume the Mavs would even be interested in having DLo on a long-term deal and I don’t think they would be. I think they’d rather let Kyrie walk for nothing and work with cap space.

Pelinka has to step in and not allow James to dictate like the failed Westbrook experiment. Irving is talented but not worth tearing up what we have for his antics.

Absolutely. I understand Bron and Kyrie are relatively close, but no, just no.

I said jokingly in Gametime: if Kyrie wants to come for the minimum and come off the bench, sure I'd sign him. Otherwise it's really not worth it. Dlo fits perfectly, he just needs to get that confidence in the playoffs. Dude is a wonderful player for us, does exactly what we need: shoots threes, floaters, handles well, takes care of the ball, is extremely unselfish, has good chemistry with the team. Don't mess with depth and chemistry!

^If it ain't broke don't fix it. I'd love to see this crew take it all as there is no guarantees everyone if not most are/will be back.

To play the devil’s advocate; Kyrie and DLo are kinda similar in their playing style, with Kyrie being a significantly better offensive player. However Dlo is younger, won’t screw with your team chemistry and plays more games than Irving.

So unless it’s a trade 1 for 1, I’m happy to stick with what we have.

The difference other than the distraction and one treating this as a part time gig (DLO's missed games were related to contract year, I believe) is that one is about team and one is only about self.

DLO has no interest in front office politics or being a co-head coach. Unless Kyrie can guarantee him being MVP and getting us a championship the first year he is here, I would not give him more than the mid level with ZERO guarantees as far as starting, minutes, role, etc.

The ONLY way I could see Kyrie here is if we traded Schroder. A 3 way rotation of DLO, Kyrie and AR would be pure devastation to the rest of the league!!

I don’t want Kyrie, he is older, more injury prone, more expensive and a head case. However, he is the better player. There’s worse things that could happen than let’s say DLo and Beasley for Kyrie.
