It’s fake toughness with mem. I can’t remember who mentioned this but they chirp when they get a run going and go silent when things aren’t going their way. They act like they play tough, complain to the refs when they get called for a foul and say we flop. #PopcornMuscles
Is there any way to know Memphis shots frequency at the rim and % with and without AD on the floor ? Thanks
only complaint is that we still look like we don't have a great offensive plan against memphis. they're a great defensive team who has largely taken out our top two options, but with how much resources they're devoting to that, we should be getting things elsewhere. we missed a few huge open threes, but we really only got a few. still have AD catching very far from the hoop, still don't have a lot going on off the ball to get guys free and get into advantageous situations on offense. ok, other complaint: morant sure whines a lot for a guy who goes headhunting on most of his drives despite being half everyone's size. like, bro, you're going to end up on the floor by your own design.
3 point shooting. I was sure our guys would feed off the crowd, the best crowd we've had in a long long time, they haven't been able to. game 3: 25% from 3 game 4: 28% from 3 That's troubling.
For the first time since the trade deadline, I felt uncertain and stressed for how this team would produce offense, especially in the 4th last night. That is my WMC. Grizz are among the best defensive teams, so I think it could be less of an issue if we make it out of this series.
Certainly didn't want to put this in Kobe's thread so WMC it is. Saw this as an "au contraire" comeback to someone saying on LG that Kobe would never have let Dillon Brooks stare him down. And in fact he got sucker punched more than once right? Mike Miller got him and who the hell was this?? Did Kobe ever actually "land" any blows on any of those occasions? Typically he was outraged and having to be held back by multiple teammates while trying to get back at the perpetrators.
Ok LT, I'll bite. If we're playing the what-if game, young Kobe (who got sucker punched by Chris Childs) would go at DIllon Brooks, and it would end in a hold me back moment. If they actually fought it doesn't favor Kobe tbh But prime Kobe does this: Ron Artest broke Michael Jordan's ribs in a pick up game. And here is Kobe talking smack at Queensbridge Ron all series long. Brooks wouldn't even be a water boy in this series, he'd be a towel boy. I shudder to think what Prime LeBron would do to Brooks. And the LG guy who said that about Kobe/Bron was probably born in 1998
miller didn't sucker-punch him. if i remember correctly, he was driving to the hoop and weirdly stuck out his arm which got kobe in the face and had him bleeding. later in the game miller again drove to the hoop and kobe elbowed him in the throat. pretty sure he was suspended a game or two for it the fight with childs is the only time i recall kobe actually throwing a punch in a game
Had a real shot today and let it slip through our fingers. Ham has to make better substitutions period. Beasley just doesn’t have it right now. It is what it is. Play someone else.
Ham and his love for Beasley, just dont get it....and Brown has been absolutely garbage, no semblance of his regular season performances whatsoever, been terrible on def too
The last time we were a 7 seed facing a 2, we were up 3-1 as well. But we all know how that ended. Different situation because the Suns were clearly the better team, but I’m just saying…
Even if we get past Memphis, this isn’t going to beat the Warriors or Kings, they will shoot us off the court
