This game really showed Lebron's grit and tenacity. For all those times in the middle of the season when he doesn't play a lick of defense!! LOL, well, it's true!! He can still do more than score!! Just picks his spots.

Well, in all fairness, he held him to a 20-20 game and let's face it, if you don't score 40+ on Brooks, you ain't squat!!!!

Nevermind that Lebron is the ALL-TIME leading scorer in the NBA, nevermind that they are down 3 games to 1.

    Nevermind Brooks is a dumb*ss!

I believe his foot is still bothering him..some of the lack of explosion and lift, could be due to him not wanting to plant hard, on that foot at times. It's something to watch moving forward, we have to remember that shutting it down, and having surgery was the diagnosis that he got, he chose not to accept it.

Unfortunately that requires AD to step up offensively. If Ham had subbed Lebron out last night we would most likely have lost. Agree he needs to be able to sit down a few minutes. Wednesday could be one of those games AD does decide to go for thirty.

well...he got the bumping part right. what an idiot. if he doesn't shine in leading his team to three wins, he might have cost himself 80 million bucks just by being a d******.

Yeah I'm surprised Tilman didn't force Lebron to go left on the last posession . Brooks is right , Lebron tends to shoot the J in this case

1 second cuts off a hell of a lot of same effect game winning or losing attempts. LOL why not make it last 2 seconds would be more representative. And the quantity analyzed much higher.

    That said …. props LeBron

^^^^ Thanks. There were more guys, and it was restricted to MVPs on the previous one?

Again, props to him. Being an insufferable narcissist notwithstanding. The "unclutch" narrative seems highly exaggerated. Saved our franchise from who knows what the next 10 years following who to pay and who to let go of all the great kids when it came time for that. Probably middle of the road hell. No more lottery and not good enough to at least compete for rings.

Look at the difference between his regular season and playoff PER (yes I know PER is bad, has lots of flaws yada yada) since age 30

He really has saved himself during the regular season for the playoffs. The worrisome part for this year is he hasn't taken a big leap: yes it's a small sample vs a 2 seed. So he's not going up against some chump team like New Jersey. I still think it's the injury more then age (he had pretty good explosion on his drives before he got hurt) but that's also how aging works, all these thing build up

Yeah. One, he clearly coasts to save his energy for offense. Two, Kobe did too, often. They both take on challenges to exert lock down defense in closing minutes of games and to grab key rebounds. Three, I think now - watching closely when he doesn’t have the ball or is playing defense off the ball - he is trying not to do too much to cause a foot reinjury, with his LBJ-doc telling him about minutes and how many drives he may have each game to minimize risk. Analytics are in play.

I criticize his failures to close out on 3s and to drive more and chuck less and to get back on D when he doesn’t get a call (instead of whining with his arms out during a 5 on 4), but his closing game 4 and doing what he is doing at 38 (20 seasons plus another 4 seasons worth of playoff games) is beyond amazing. I admit the bias - never liked Bron - but can’t deny his greatness and intelligence.

The question is...is there another Kobe, Lebron, Steph, KD, Duncan amongst these young guys in the league now? The only name I can come up with is Giannis. AD?

Honestly, it's just the three ball. If he were shooting his typical playoff % on threes, around 37.5%, instead of *throws up in mouth* 18%, he'd be significantly north of league average efficiency overall. Which would be reflected in those box score adv. stats

Doncic should be able to, health willing if he were to get serious about his weight. Certainly has the talent.
