at their age and injury history, I wouldn’t extend them at max, no. Awkward conversation, but I’d say we can’t go max but we’d like to keep you. If you can get that somewhere we’ll try to facilitate as long as it doesn’t hurt us.

That's pretty early in the offseason for a coaching hire.

Good coach, we'll see how it's perceived given his transgressions

I think pretty much everyone agrees he's a really good coach basketball wise, but that most of us don't really know the whole story behind the transgressions and how bad they are or not. Surface level, it was consensual and not that bad to minor transgressions - deeper than that, plenty of people including ex-players, were saying that it's a lot worse than that. I don't know the specifics myself - does anyone else?

The Twitter threads are already full of people posting about the GM's wife, female Houston sales associates, Harden and Ime at the clubs, etc.

same. he has a history there, too, right?

again, i think we should hire nurse as an assistant. jkidd rehabbed his image quickly as an assistant to vogel. both sides could benefit, and he'd live in la, which is cool.

then again, i could see tyronn lueovich walking this summer and nurse coming in and taking the head job there to similar "success".

Very curious to see what the Rockets do this summer. They've got a lot of money. The Harden return rumors won't go away.

If they're at 2, do they really take Scoot? With Martin, Green, and Porter I'm not sure that makes sense.

What's the expectations of that young roster when you bring in a NBA Finals coach?

Regarding Nurse, that would be a very good use of the Klutch connection. Just as long as it's known to everyone that it's the coaching version of the Monk signing and that Ham’s job is at no point in jeopardy. Cause we don't need that headline and talking point after every loss next year. You also don't want to piss off Handy, not sure his exact spot on the pecking order (just glad he hasn't been mentioned on any HC lists yet for this off season).

A high profile assistant gig might be the move for him or someone and then they hop on with the Spurs when Pop retire. How many more years is he doing this thing, especially if he didn't get Wembanyama?

or...kpj or green + the #2 is a serious trade package for <insert disgruntled star> and they still probably have the cash to sign harden on top of it?

yeah, it's dicey because nurse has more bona fides than ham at this point, so ham might not love it.

i don't see the spurs job as attractive anymore. people are seeing "the culture" was really "tim duncan". pop's great, but even he'd admit he couldn't have built anything without duncan. and SA's a tough market. you better have culture out the wazoo and some serious luck.

i'd want the clips job if lue's dumb enough to vacate. blank checkbook in a big market/destination city, yet also comes with basically no pressure. the nets is a similar situation. knicks and lakers under the microscope while these places get to just scrooge mcduck it undetected.

Pick up Beasley’s team option and send him to Indiana with the 2023 and 2029 picks for Turner. I’m tired of getting annihilated in the non-AD minutes. Run everything else back.

    DLo / Schroder
    Reaves / Walker / Christie
    LeBron / Vando
    AD / Hachimura
    Turner / Bamba / Gabriel
