funny thing is that i actively and openly rooted against the pels all year...until last night. because we had already guaranteed to finish ahead of them, so they once again became completely irrelevant to me.

anyway, no one will ever stop re-litigating that trade (in which we got exactly what we needed and the pels got enough to be happy given that they lost a star) but at least we won't have to hear about the swap for six months.

Our wins have been underwhelming but I much rather have ugly wins than good losses.

The Lakers have found ways to come back being down double digits a lot lately. I sense that the team can play "up" to the competition the same way they played down the last few games against crap teams. Morant will be an issue, no matter who guards him.

But if we can put pressure on Jackson, we have a pretty good shot, especially AD needs to step up (which is a common theme as most teams in the NBA don't have solid bigs anymore to guard him).

Also Memphis scores the most points in the paint, so we will need AD, Bamba and Gabriel to be alert inside.

one thing i like about our first round matchup: the haters will have to actively pull for morant right now, which is hilarious.

    Came out with great energy.

    played hard throughout.

Reaves, Rui, and DLO. stepped up when we needed them.

Crushed them at the end of the fourth to put the game out of reach.

That’s how you start a playoff series.

They look damn good with the rest and I don't even think Lebron is fully back yet.
Sweep Memphis and watch GS/Sac beat up on each other

All year long we were the team missing wide open threes, missing the big shots. Tonight THEY were clanking all the threes and we were burying them. And for the first time in a long time I got to pump my fist and yell “yeah!” when we were shooting, the big shots were going in. Been too long, it felt fantastic, even if it evens out from here, it was a much needed return to the joy of a playoff victory, having your guys show up when it matters most

Our size looked to be way too much for MEM in game one... & Bamba, Gabriel & Thompson didn't even play...

Not gonna lie: got a huge dopamine buzz watching us go down 8, come back, and crushing MEM's spirit in the final 2 mins.

A bunch of winners: that's who we have.

Vandy was in Ja's jock. Too bad the thug broke his wrist or whatever it was. MEM is now saying Ja's questionable for Game 2.

JJJ is frikkin' beast, but AD's even better. AD: 22/2/3 with 3 steals and SEVEN blocks!

This Just In: Rui Hachimura is now a household name in 100,000 homes around LA.
