44-38 was the possible prediction. Ended up only 1 game off at 43-39. Might be as close as I’ve ever come in something like this before.

Tough to come so close but we are playing well overall. Should be able to come up with a victory in one of the two possible games

It always felt like we were destined for the play-in especially when the team dropped games the players themselves deemed important.

Freakin Gobert was sent home because he just punched Kyle Anderson. He tried to pull a Draymond at the end of the season, on national TV. McDaniels just broke his hand because of it. This team is about to implode. It will be a tune-up game for Memphis. 2nd round isn't unrealistic at all

 

Gobert should be suspended

 

If we are worried about beating Minnesota, we aren't beating Memphis.

lakers should get the W against them, but you just never know who will be the next damian jones and have the game of their lives when it matters most

 

I don't think there's a Team 1-10 that the Lakers should take for granted..
I also don't think there's a Team in the West that we can't beat in a 7 game series, if we play with energy...

 

The 1st part is a given for everyone. The 2nd part, is all that you can ask for, as a fan.

 

we're in as good a position as i could have hoped for. we'll have two chances to take care of business and get in, and either team we play is beatable. i wouldn't lay money on us doing it, but it's possible.

 

All in all we need to take care of things in the first play in game against Minnesota and I’m happy with the outcome.

One of Phoenix or Clippers get eliminated in the first round. And the winners gets to go against the Nuggets in the second. We basically have 2/4 of the most dangerous teams to us eliminated on that side of the bracket before the conference finals.

On our side we have to go up against the Grizzlies, who are a tough out. I use to hate playing them because of how young they were, but we’re actually a super young team now and have the defensive firepower to match their intensity. I think we pull this out in 6.

They’re missing Steven Adams and Clarke in their front court. So the series is going to rest on whether JJJ can slow AD over a series. I just can’t see that happening. Last time we played AD had 30/22 on 11/17 shooting. That’s the kind of AD we need to show up.

As for defending them. I’m putting Troy Brown Jr, Reaves, Rui and Vando on Bane and Brooks and trying to take them out of the game. Put Schroeder on Morant and ask him to beat us over a 7 game series with AD patrolling the paint. Morant is shooting 30% from three and he’ll tire out having to drive at the basket against AD every possession.

I’m playing Schroeder 30 mins a game on Morant full court press and physical pesky defence. I’m confident AD will be the best player in the series.

Then we got GSW in the second round which is a discussion for another day.

 

I refuse to even think about a series with Memphis until we take care of business on Tuesday. Even without McDaniels and maybe Gobert we can 100% lose to that team. Ant is inconsistent but can take over a game and KAT seems to be more comfortable without Gobert out there.

 

Golden State and the Lakers is going to be epic. I totally get those two pickups we made. However we have work to do on getting there first.
