we got this in my house this week, and it's brutal. i'm still suffering a couple days later, but the first 36 hours was like the freaking exorcist.

just in case one of our players gets it and people, as is custom, question their manhood.

If the Clippers tank a game to avoid the Suns, they’d have to be real confident they’re not losing any other games, including against us. Because if they fall to 7th it’s possible they enter the playoffs 8th and get a nice first round matchup with Denver. I don’t think they’d be thrilled to see Ja and the Grizzlies either.

Lakers win out, and clippers lose today, Lakers go a game up on them. So, f*** the clippers.

And here I thought we merely outplayed a MIN team that had a couple guys out.

WTF is it? A virus? I read an article on Shigella going around, which is a bacterium you have to touch and get near your face, and then you get the symptoms that, uh... abeer and his family seem to have had.

hmmm...i assumed mine was viral, but maybe not. youngest brought it home from preschool, and it's nasty. i know a bunch of others who have had it over the past few weeks, which is why i figured this might be the same thing. anyway, you can't play basketball (at least not well at all) for at least a day. at this stage of the season, if a key guy gets it, your season could be tanked. they best be washing those hands!

I genuinely can’t decide. On the one hand, the Pelicans could very easily win the next three games after tonight since the Grizzlies, Kings and Knicks are pretty locked into their spots. It would be nice to keep the Pelicans behind us so we get the two home games in the play in. On the other hand, the Clippers probably have to lose this game for us to overtake them. I’m skeptical of our ability to catch the Warriors, even though we have the tiebreaker they’re still the champs and have the fortitude to win the games they need to.

Mavs lost again. Pels and Clips down to wire.

    That Mavs loss…still gets me.

Cuban made a mistake - just trying to block LA from getting Kyrie. Imagine Luka with D Lo, Vando, and Bease.

I want Clips to win - get 5th. Play Suns first round. I hope Den beats GS tomorrow and then we have control of 6 if we beat Hous.

If you told me the backcourt got 65 AND THJ goes for 31, I'm assuming that's a win. Nope. They're thin and bad nearly everywhere else. The other two starters, Bullock and Powell, combined for 4 points. If you're a team who can't stop anyone, you better be able to outscore them. They can't do either or stay healthy for that matter.

This trade is looking down right awful for Cuban. I'm not sure the next pivot point either. You can't let Kyrie walk. And they don't have enough options this summer to structure the roster in a manner that makes it work next to the backcourt. Luka is miserable. It's ugly.

I can't decide either. I do want to keep NO below us in the standings. But wouldn't mind the chance of overtaking the Clips. Guess I'm good with whatever happens here.

I’m full on NO losing; so of course the clips are going to clip.

He has a PO in 26-27. He isn't going to wait that long on a spiraling team. I don't think Cuban moves him, but I legit don't know the way out of this that makes them better than they were before the Kyrie deal. They needed to keep Brunson AND add a solid wing like Grant.

And regarding tonight's game, just saw this...

    Ouch!

Then again, would also love to see the Warriors play Suns in first, us against Sac, Minn or Pels against Memphis, and Clips vs Den.

Dang. Back to 8th. How many teams will tank against Pels, Clips, GA to avoid us now?

Clips are going to lose, so we need to win out and they need to lose to either the Blazers (unlikely) or the Suns (last game of the season, Suns probably resting guys). I don’t like our odds.
