Feeling good guys. Going for #6, except if AD’s ankle just falls off. Which is totally possible.

6th is going to be really tough, we’d probably need to win out. I hope that’s where we end up, but 7th with two home games to get into the playoffs is fine with me too.

Lakers have the tie breaker vs GS & still play LAC… 6th is definitely possible.

I'm not the only one here who's said it more than once, but Rob's moves at the AS Break? Gotta be one of the greatest FO maneuvers of all time. I'd like to read some historical stat-head savant's take on similar great moves in...all team sports, really. We sucked really bad. We were hopeless. We were saddled with Brick. Our D BLEW chunks. We had suffered ever since the Bubble.

    Then, out of nowhere, suddenly...

    Man. Thanks, Pelinka!

Reminds me of the 2018 Cavs turnaround. Granted, LeBron was possessed which is why they went on a run. Still, completely remade the team overnight.

Over 400 days apparently since we were over .500. Been a long time! Yes, let's move up some more. I'm hoping we can at least grab the 6th spot. We'll see.

So we’re 1.5 games back of the Clippers (they’ve played one more game than us) but they have the tiebreaker regardless of the outcome of our game against them. Their four remaining games are @Pelicans, vs. us, vs. Blazers and @ Suns. To make up the difference, we probably have to win out and finish 44-38 because they’ll probably at least beat the Blazers (completely tanking) and the Suns (last game of the season, likely locked into 4). As such, we’re in a weird situation to on where their game @Pelicans is kind of a lose-lose for us.

I think if we win out, we can only be 5th, not 6th, since we have the tie breaker with the Warriors and the Clips will fall off.

Absolutely huge result in the biggest game of the season because it eliminates Pelicans from three way tiebreakers. If the Lakers lost the Wolves game and the Wolves, Lakers, and Pelicans all ended up with the same record by the end of the season (with Pelicans beating Wolves in the last game), the following would happen:
    1. Overall record among 3 teams would be checked (3-4 for Lakers and Pelicans, so onto the next criteria)
    2. Conference record (Lakers lose to the Pelicans here, and Lakers would be last in the three way tiebreak)

Luckily, lakers overall record vs wolves and pelicans is now 4-3, so the pelicans have no hope to catch up (they can go 3-4 at maximum), and so we hold 3 way tiebreakers over pelicans too.

Will Denver actually try against Golden State?

Warriors getting teams that are tanking or already set. I want the clips to stay at 5. Let them open with the Suns.

We need to win out for 6th. Games against the Clips and Suns will be tough. But…if we beat the Clips. Maybe the Suns sit guys cause they are locked at 4. Jazz will be tough - playing spoilers.

It’s an interesting dilemma for the Clippers. They’re tied with the Warriors now and have shown in the past that they’re very much willing to throw away games to posture for a more favorable playoff matchup. They probably want to avoid the Suns in the first round, especially since PG may not be back for the start of that series, but there’s a really fine line between falling back to 6th and falling too far into 7th for the play-in.

If the Clippers do try to manipulate things here to get to 6th, I hope the basketball gods punish them once again and push them down to 7th.
