Standings Watch: Race To The Playoffs

Despite a career year for him, i don’t think he’s very good. I don’t really believe this helps us much at all.

Gobert’s length bothered AD last game when we lost to them.

Although Towns is returning from an injury, he’s going to stretch AD way out and we have no real center.

Wenyen will get eaten up tomorrow.

I hope I eat crow, but I have a really eerie feeling tomorrow. PLEASE LAKERS JUST PWN THEM FROM THE START so all of us can be stress-free for a friday night…

DEN did load mgmt with the Joker today in the front end of a BTB for them. Of course, the Pels won the game, going 1/2 game ahead of us.

I'm not saying DEN will do anything to avoid playing us in the first round. But I'm almost saying it.

 

Denver can’t beat us with Brick around I don’t blame them.

 

Nuggets losing to Pels doesn't increase the probability of not facing the Lakers , it's actually the contrary as it increases "our" probability to finish 9th or lower.

Nuggets would want us to finish 7th ( or 8th AND win the 7-8 play -in game) , not lower ...

 

I was typing more than thinking, in a glib way. With 6 games left, and 4 wins separating 6th place from 12th place (as of going into games on the 31st of March), I was tryna insinuate that the Nugs wouldn't wanna face us. Period. A supercomputer could spit out every possible outcome over these last 12 games, but it would overwhelm us to read all those possibilities right now. We just gotta win. Period.

I was bein' glip, flip, pat. DEN wouldn't wanna face us. But now the math is bonkers. Lakers gotta keep their heads in the games and win as many as possible, and I hope AD plays at least a little in the BTB Jazz/Clips, but we'll see.

 

Will be a tough game to win as Clippers have 3 days of rest before playing us .

Looks like a schedule loss , no PG13 might prevent that , I hope

decent chance the knicks weren't going to be playing for much in that NO game, anyway. i had that down as a W for them.

i didn't think jokic would be out already for this last one, though, so that sucks. they've got three straight at home against mem, sac, and the clips. if they win 2 out of those 3, i guess you just tip your hat to them. they're winning when it matters. and i'm mad.

 

Both the Pacers game and Grizz game all depends on who plays. Both sat most of their starters last game. Spurs aren't beating GS. I don't see Jazz competing with a Boston team that just crushed the Bucks.

For tonight, I think we have AD guard Gobert to keep him close to the basket. I think we see LeBron on KAT in a potentially huge matchup. KAT can’t bully LeBron and KAT tends to get frustrated and foul prone in big games. LeBron’s taken the defense end off for most of the season lol, but I think this is a spot where he can/will step it up defensively.

 

Bron said that this was one of the most important regular season stretch runs of his career. I expect to see greatness on display tonight. I don't want to backdoor into this play-in, 6th seed or whatever. We have a healthy, almost completely whole team.

6-0 here we go!!! Bring on whoever we have to face in the postseason. None are unbeatable.

 

Anyone know why ESPN has LeBron & AD listed as "doubtful" for tonight's game against MINN..?
Has there been any official word on their status..?

 

i like lebron as the primary defender on towns, but i could see us using him on gobert, too. i also think, to your last point, that giving him the towns assignment might serve to engage him on that end.

 

i'll go on record as not optimistic about this game. friday night home game with minny at full strength and needing to win. i'll be impressed if we can get a win here, tbh.
