I never saw a team like the Raptors giving the ball back to the other team so many times just after stealing it

    WTF was that

i had tons of questions about toronto as i watched.

i was pretty sure fvv and trent would be traded at the deadline, and i think they should have been. you're now in a position where you lose one or both for nothing (or very little) in a s&t or be forced to overpay to keep them.

maybe ujiri re-earns his rep and does better over the summer in that situation than i'm expecting, but when it was clear fvv wasn't thrilled with his contract situation, the writing was on the wall, imo.

i'm also not sure barnes is as good as barnes thinks he is. it almost looked like our gameplan was to seduce him into taking shots. and yes, he made most of them, but their offense was pretty stagnant considering the amount of firepower they have.

Offensively the Raptors look like the Clippers without the 3pts shot.

They play 3 wings so they hunt the mismatch available ... a lot of midrange but can't pass the ball and create easy shots

I’m back from the deep blue sea. Thanks @The Showtime Mamba for filling in. Great job.

    Nothing definitely.

    We were all witnesses.

I’m surprised he was able to keep a straight face.

This game was in the fridge early, whether the game chat believed it or not.

Cleaning, filleting and frying him up in hot oil.

    Yep.

    We did.

    Street clothes.

It was definitely a dumpster fire.

Just go hurl in the toilet. No one will blame you.

So he could drown his sorrows while singing YMCA, because that’s what your team looks like.

A prayer may be the only thing that can save you.

    Pelicans don’t get national games.

Go ahead and hang your banner.

    Dat true.

You know what Ainge did with those treasure chest of draft picks.

This was risqué to put here but too funny not to include.

If it’s a colonoscopy, now you won’t have to go.

    Rob playing chess.

Just run away from your team instead.

And we chopped you up bad.

Maybe giving him 50 million will help lol.

Reading your comments, crack me up. You must have grown up with a bunch of brothers!! Your sense of humor seems a bit rowdy, in a good way.

    lol

really? you were probably nodding along with the media who swore (thanks to sources from rival front offices and only rival front offices) that we'd have to pay two firsts and eat the worst contracts in the league to move russ.

patience is a virtue. we waited for the right deal, and for your garbage team to fold. check. check.

Not much doom from ORL fans. 90% of their posts were about Reaves getting more free throws than their whole team. Of course they don’t mention that he was getting intentionally fouled the last minute of the game.

    I assume that’s a really long list.

That’s the second half time heave in a row AR has made. We need to get him the ball quicker.

That’s because he’s a star, or gets superstar calls as your fan base says.

You’re a Magic fan, you should be used to losing.

    Hey but he’s tall.

Oh he knew, just thought it was whacked that Bron was blaming him instead himself.

How do you like me now? By Austin Reaves.

    Is it because he’s white?

    Oh, he’ll be back.

I know you don’t like Reaves but don’t insult him like that.

    He’s definitely rocks your world.

A win is much better for Laker Nation.

Go headed and sleep, otherwise you’ll have nightmares of Austin Reaves shooting free throws.

He plays like he just turned 5.

I guess your pizza was smoking hot.

Oh CP3 is a great player, I just think he’s a flopping, whiny, dirty a** player. Reaves is the opposite in those things.

my dad and i were talking about this the other day. paul's antics just suck the life out of his otherworldly talent, much like kyrie's off-court issues suck the life out of his similar talent.

to me, it's not that hard to just "not punch guys in the nuts" or "apologize for saying stupid things". if these guys could do this, their legacies would be entirely different than they will be as is.

I just learned recently that CPFlop’s propensity for punching people in the nuts started in college and it was widely publicized too.

it's hard to turn off aspects of your personality, and these pro athletes can be really extreme.

anyone read that piece on dillon brooks recently? i think it was trying to help him explain himself, and he just comes off as a misguided a******.

paul can't help himself; beverley can't help himself. these extreme edges have gotten them so many things they wanted that they become what we in the ol' biz used to call generalized operants--behaviors that are going to be repeated across contexts, even to the occasional point of detriment.

this is part of why, for me, kobe's early death was even more tragic. as a psychologist, i felt like he changed pretty substantially over his career, moving from self-serving and petulant to wise and more collaborative. i was curious to see how that would play out in other ventures, etc., in part because it's not that common to see.

Here’s a doom snack. I’ll see if I can find anymore later.

Don’t you dare disparage Reaves by mentioning bum boy in the same sentence.

    The word is out…MVP, MVP.

Too bad it’s not gymnastics and there are no gold medals. Maybe CP3 can start a new sport after retirement…. Synchronize flopping.

    Even Germanys not that good.

    Austin Reaves did.

Are the machines not leveled and move and flop around the floor during the spin cycle too?

Guess he will use the broom handle to kick people in the nuts now.

    Trash knows trash.

You forgot the Marango casino and spa part.

Paws of our number 1 player.

    Maybe…never.

There’s a 12 step program for how not to be an a**hole?

Laker fans have lots of experience with this and feel your pain.

    Apparently not.

    The JR Smith special.

Sour grapes…if you knew about the trades before hand, some of the owners would have tried to stop them.

I want my babyback, babyback, babyback….Chili’s.

    That’s a new one I haven’t heard yet.

CP3 caught him in the tunnel and told him to stop stealing his moves.

For $500 dollars please….who is Devin Booker.

That alien looking face couldn’t make something as wonderful as Reaves.

    The definition of insanity.

If only it counted in the standings that way.

I’d certainly wish for a whole team of Reaves if I could.

    Jekyll meet Hyde.

Don’t worry, your team still gives you lots of material.

reaves did get some ticky tack stuff, but booker got the same treatment. i get the argument that booker has proven he'll score 50 sometimes if you don't foul him, and reaves hasn't, though. it's why harden never sat well with me: he was a FT superstar before he proved you needed to foul him to stop him, imo.

i don't think reaves is nearly as shameless as harden, but he definitely is looking to get fouled on some plays, which would frustrate me as an opposing fan.
