how expensive is it to bring a guy in for 10 days? must be peanuts in the grand scheme of things. it's far more likely that Ham said he was ok with Gabriel only.
Lakers have a back to back last week of the season with Utah & LAC....huge games..ill die laughing if they let him sit again.
The sheer and utter arrogance in thinking you can win an NBA game without a center. This one is on Ham and the FO.
This front office and coaching staff have a very stubborn nature to them. I would not be surprised one bit if they sit AD on that back to back and still don’t sign another backup center. Just so they can double down and not admit how foolish this has been
We feel very unserious right now. Can’t say we’re all in and going for the 6th seed and then sit AD on back to backs. Either you want to make the playoffs or you don’t. To me this is our last shot at a ring with this group, it’s a very outside shot, but it does exist if things bounce our way, if maybe unexpected injuries happen to some other teams. But I don’t know if we even make the play-in if this continues, so what are preserving AD for, to sell tickets at home games?
The team deserves it. They have always given effort this season. The FO OTOH is something else: Hassan f***ing Whiteside would have made a huge difference tonight. Ridiculous that you go into a game with an open roster spot with not one center.
I checked on Whiteside, and the day before we lost to HOU, he and Brandon Knight signed with a Puerto Rican team. Also on 3/14, Sports Illustrated floated the idea the Lakers need a big, so maybe sign Boogie or even Dwight for a final roster spot. Ya know what? TOO effing late in acting, Lakers FO. Too damned late. HOU scored 78 in the paint against us. Wenyan's a true 4. My gawd, that loss ticks me off.
I guess you missed at least 20 games at the start of the season I agree that after the Russ trade we look better, competing and playing D... but it's too little too late. We don't have the magic switch (at leat not, when 2-3 of of our top guys are always out).
yeah, i was expecting a loss and we got one. i'm fine with prioritizing AD's health over finishing a spot higher in the play-in, but i would love if anyone from the press asked rob why we didn't attempt to sign a big after bamba went down. this didn't sneak up on us.
to give this coach a bunch of rag tag don't give a rip players is just completely unfair tbh dude is going to lose all of his hair coaching this group
