Winnable game. I already had the mindset they were gonna lose cuz of no lebron. So at least they showed competiveness. Id even say the lakers lost the game more than the grizzlies winning it. Move on and hope to win next game. Hoping the other teams lakers are trying to catch up to loses today.
we have an easy enough schedule in the next few games. I hope the team realizes we either push into a play-in spot right now, or we're done.
Tough to beat 3rd best team on road without Bron and D-Lo. REally don't like that we're still dealing with injuries and missing all these key games. I reallly want DLO at least back for tomorrow's game...we need every win we can get especially against a team that is right in behind us and beat us last time we played (we need to own tiebreaker here).
All in all, I thought the Lakers played really well in the loss in MEM. The turnovers - esp. the unforced TOs - killed us, but that's largely a product of all the usage time that Lebron had. He had the ball so often, now others do. And they're rusty. MEM's D was good. And Ja's 3rd Q was insane. 28 points in one quarter. AD was beastly, which is all we can ask of him. LWIV stepped up. Reaves was great. It's gonna be a slog, but I thought the no-Lebron Lake Show played really well in their first game - of, I'm afraid, many - on the road against a very good MEM team that was up for this game. I don't know if it's nerves, but Reaves's handle seemed a bit off. Vandy's overall play is worth the price of admission for me. As a scorer though? He's truly Rodman-esque. That's okay. I have to admit, AD on the ground is really just one little panic attack after another. And he hits the deck a lot. As you know. When MEM finally cracked it open late and went up by what? 13? Lakers still battled back. Good game. I'm encouraged. But there's only 20 games left now...
lol, can't win with that many turnovers. they took 26 more shots than we did. they only had 6 turnovers. miracle it wasn't a blowout, tbh.
Pre-emptive WMC - if Shai doesn't play, PLEASE for the love of God do not take this OKC team lightly!!! We need to win this game and win it convincingly. Even w/o LeBron and DLo. Get this win so we can start our 5-game homestand with momentum.
“new …. everything”?? WTH? Know you’re unhappy but there’s a lot of good going on and players currently to root for and fun to watch.
my wmc: watched the okc feed of this game, and man is michael cage an uninformed homer of an announcer. every time bamba hit a three, he's like "that's not his game!". i'm like, dude, check a stat sheet or watch any non-thunder game. where was his partner or their stat guy to correct him? and then he just incessantly b****ed about correct calls for the entire game.
