That's right isn't it ... after two releases he would be eligible? More defense and more muscle!

Can we sign Stan now or not? These rules are confusing, he's been waived two times now

    Even Pincus seems unclear

I hope we can bring back Stanley, but if we’re still not allowed to then I’m not sure if there are any currently available buyout players worth using the last roster spot on. And I think we have a crowded enough rotation, so not sure we really NEED someone else right now.

I would probably shift gears and keep trying out some 10 day contracts with that last spot. Take a few flyers and see if there are any young prospects that stick. Treat it as a continued form of “pre-agency” where we can try to find a diamond in the rough to lock up under a team option next year like we did with SJ and Wenyen last year.

Stanley is a better defender but not as good shooter. But he would definitely have value against guys like BI who Troy couldn't guard at all

we have a stacked roster, apart from injuries I dont think any guy we sign is going to see any playing time.

I don't see why we couldn't sign him. The rule was created to prevent guys from being traded, bought out and immediately going back to the team that traded him. He was traded to a team (Jazz), then played 30 games with another team (SA). I think they league would/ should let him sign with us if we are interested.

we really needed to take that game against them. they got confident and won a couple more after that, whereas i think they would have quit if we hadn't let them up off the mat. sucks doubly because of both playoff and draft implications.

anyway, yeah, the zion situation is tough. when he's available, he's very good, but i don't foresee long stretches of availability in his future.

For a guy who's game is predicated on his otherworldly athleticism, all these lower body injuries are a problem. Dude really hasn't even started his career properly.

What’s crazy is that Stanley is shooting 45% from 3 this year.

so he'd shoot 30% if he came back to LA

i'd welcome him back if they're able to sign him. he's an upgrade over brown

yeah, i don't see where any of the names mentioned so far get above our current third string options, tbh.

i'm not even sure i agree with 432j on stan being better than brown. troy's played pretty well for us as a minimum player. stan brings different things, but we have vando and rui as other options there and only so many minutes to go around.

sucks that stan can't find a place, though. he's an nba player, imo.

I’d love to bring the Stanimal back. We’d have a legit amount of large wings to throw defensively at star wings.

    Stan
    Rui
    Vando
    Gabriel
    Troy

    That’s without AD or Lebron.
