Looks like a significant less expensive Ben Simmons without the diaper

utah decided that since he can't shoot the three (and i guess never will, in their estimation?) he can only play center, and they already have a center.

it wasn't great logic. but he was actually the guy i thought someone would meet danny's asking price (1st rounder) for. maybe his contractual status did it, but he's under contract for 4.5 mil next year (i had this fact wrong earlier, though he was UFA next year), too. had we given up a protected 1st and he was the best player we got back, i'd have probably been ok, tbh.

Utah might become our new farm club.

    New fanboy here.
Love him. Absolutely love him. Type of guy I want in a contending roster. Amazing pickup, for real. He can gives the type of impact Portis gives to Bucks' offense, but in our defense. Those guys are valuable

Still see him as part of our starting lineup, but like the energy he brought from the bench. He actually did a great pairing with Gabriel, those guys don't give up on a play. Let's see how's the fit with Bamba

When some opponent guard / wing early in games or whenever in games gets hot and has the potential to kill us for a loss I hope Darvin will have an itchy trigger finger to bring the Vandalorian in to cool them off. Unbelievable we got him and DLO and Beasley for Russ at the deadline and only 1 FRP (future superstar ;)) 1-4 protected even.

If there’sa game where Lebron and AD are both on fire with their jumpers, roll out this crazy big defensive lineup:
    Lebron
    Malik
    Vando
    AD
    Bamba

Is Malik noted for his defense? Why not Reaves then in that scenario?

    Steal of the trade deadline.

I originally wanted him to start but his energy off the bench is DANGEROUS

There was a sequence last night in the 3rd where he did a little hesitation dribble into a spin move in the lane. It didn't amount to a basket, but I was surprised to learn he had that in his bag of tricks. I knew he was a rebounder/defender - but if he's a dude who can handle the rock and potentially assist off the dribble, with that size and frame - that puts him in higher ground for player potential. He could be pretty complete player if he keeps improving.

Ham should have put him back in the game in the 4th when Poole was going off. He would have at least slowed Poole’s roll a bit.

this guy was great in that game and needs to be on the floor a lot. that level of energy at his size was rodman-esque. and he's pretty smart (again, like rodman). man we've missed having someone like this on the team.

Good on Ham for putting him with the starters and shooting. Dude looks like Rodman out there at times with just the ridiculous energy/motor

Proved my theory of how he would fit with the starters.

Gave us an energy jolt right from the jump and kept BI from going off at all.
