Really kind of surprised Orlando wanted Pat Bev over Mo Bamba. Mo still had another season on his deal, it's not like he was walking.

 

YES! no more Beverly

 

Bamba is good to have because be helps replace some of the lost rim protection if AD happens to get traded. In the mean time, his floor stretching abilities allow him to play with AD. Great trade.

 

Guess we are done. Not bad. We came out of this with 5 guys and offloaded 5 we didn't want. We used one protected FRP, replaced the 2nd rounders, we are pretty even on salary. Just have to work out resigns on D-Lo and Rui. No way should D-Lo get what he's getting now even with his great play this season.

Considering teams were asking for a 1st for each of their players, I think they reassessed today

 

TB was a terrible defender, anybody could post him up.

Kinda surprised we kept Lonnie. Rotation is going to get pretty crowded at the 2, we’ll likely have to resort to playing one of Beasley, Reaves, or Lonnie out of position at the back-up 3

i've got questions about the bamba trade--did orlando want bev? i ask because it could been lonnie and either troy or wenyen.

anyway, it's a good pickup. i had actually grown to like a lot of what bev brought from a leadership standpoint mostly, but bamba fills a need and is an interesting project. plus we have a team option on him.

i kinda feel bad for lonnie because there's no place for him, and he needs to show out to make money. we should have sent him somewhere like we did bryant, imo.

 

i agree, though i still want to know what was up with him the other night. that was distressing. luckily the trade deadline bonanza has distracted me from it.

Team got better and younger so I'm happy overall with the moves we made. We've got a tough climb to get to the playoffs but this definitely points us in the right direction.
