I agree not perfect but I think he spin and shot over Russ and Lebron. I just don't get it put a different look on him. You put Bev on CJ and then either double and IMO two options.

Rui on Nance good matchup for Rui on defense and tell him hit the f***ing defensive glass with AD on BI. I'm sure Vogel would do this as he put AD as a big wing stopper multiple times.

Or if you go conventional put Rui on him and have a hard double on BI when he dribbles. This is what teams did to AD for years.

    We say none of rhat

yeah, we agree that the plan was bad. i just think not trying rui was the least of our problems there. we just needed to make ingram a passer and mccollum not the easiest outlet.

edit: btw, i'm going to be really frustrated when ingram fails to produce a similar game for the rest of the season. he puts up like two of these a year, where he's unconscious on those midrangers. it was basically like playing kawhi yesterday.

Totally one of those game if the Lakers put a good run and go it 15-20 would have been over at the half: really depressing loss

yeah, and we made dumb mistakes throughout to keep from extending the lead. just an awful, deflating experience to watch that game.

He isn’t a star player, but damn he was playing well and then nothing. Why does ham, a 6’7 guy himself, love small guards so much?

The word that jumps out most to me in this particular description of Ham’s ineptness of using Rui way too little even when the guy plays well and has size that’s being effective is …..

    malpractice

Time to investigate Ham, maybe he's on a take or has some gambling debts or something. It's like he makes the game harder for us on purpose.

Yeah I don’t get it at all. Rui played 40 minutes the other night for us and had like 20 points. He was also more effective on D than I thought. Nothing but good stuff. Then he only gets 18 minutes v NO while BI decimates little Pat Bev. He’s just not playing enough and why? So we can run the three PG lineup?

Our offense was flat line in the 4th and Rui put up a quick 8 and (I think) had 10 in the Q. He's helping on the glass and is putting up some effort defensively on a night where no one defended. Why sit him for the 3 dwarf stooges?

There is a double standard. After that good run: he put up a bad shot (early in the shot clock forced pullup), Russ had that awful TO and the game went from tied to down 7. He was pulled after that <sigh>. Russ continues to play

Doesn’t he? The old definition of insanity. Rather than try something else OTHER than for whatever the hell your hang up is with giving your “questionable” talent, “for certain short” PGs PRIORITY over all OTHER roster possibilities when your defense is continuing to stink and you are continuing to lose games that were winnable and “must win” games to even have a chance at the playoffs.

I’m with Handy …. with continued work, at least on offense, Rui looks like Kawhi lite out there with his mid range game. But noooooo …. doesn’t move Ham’s crazy a** needle enough over the 3 midget lineups. WTF … Over???!!!

That’s the OTHER maddening and un f***** acceptable thing about Ham …. mis-representing all of the things he said he was going to DO and BE as a coach with minutes “earned” dictating playing time and just a couple weeks ago when Christie was CONTINUING to play well and way beyond his years on D plus shooting over 40% from 3 …. Darvin lies and says he doesn’t care about age as long as guys are performing. Except now for Max and you too Wenyan … oh and never mind JTA who got regular enough minutes on the world champion Warriors!

What a nice game today, right? Midrange game is super solid, and he hit his threes as well. Big ones too.

Yes, he hit some big big shots, especially in pretty much a must win. That baseline pump fake, move in one step and bury the midrange jumper is noice.

He played well after a shaky start.. I want to see him and Jarred together, with Lebron or AD.
