Nets play Wizards Nets today. Over / under on he’s in street clothes? On the bench or out of the arena?

    What? He went through “Hell?”
Nah, he laughed all the way to the bank after every single loss. Everything he said had to do with him being happy to be at home and see his family while playing basketball for over $40 million dollars a season. That is nothing like Hell- quite the opposite.

i feel like the nets would prefer trading with phoenix. paul/crowder/picks seems a lot more attractive than westbrick/filler/picks in 2027 and 2029 from the lakers

i'm sure they'd rather phx or dallas packages, tbh--though if our picks are unprotected, that could be pretty nice for them down the road. i just think bkn has durant and is in win-now mode.

To clarify my thoughts, my doubts here are all about Kyrie. He could just as easily change his mind as force his way here.

I think I lean toward him staying but the front office has to do it’s due diligence

This probably is how they’re thinking but they’re delusional IMO, they’re not winning s*** with 37 year old Paul as the second star to 34 year old KD. Same thing if they get Dinwiddie/DFS/THJ from Dallas. They’ll lose in the second round at a max, even with Kyrie they weren’t beating Boston, Milwaukee and maybe Philly anyway. In reality, their title hopes died yesterday. KD left a team with Prime Russ/Ibaka/Adams because he thought they couldn’t win a title, he’s not going to stay because they get 37 year old CP3 or Dinwiddie/DFS/THJ back. He’ll either reinstate his trade request in the summer or decide he’s cool with just being in NYC and give the Nets time to find a new costar.

I would have so much fun rooting for the Clippers to implode in that scenario.

Back to business though, we need to get this win today in New Orleans. The Pelicans are reeling but I would expect them to come out ready to play.

Even if it’s not happening, we need the W tonight. And this will certainly help to tighten up the guard rotation some. Especially in the 4th.

I think this is the most probable trade. The $108 million luxury tax savings would be a big deal for any owner, no matter how wealthy they are.

Trivial question, if Kyrie gets traded to the West, would he be on the Western All Star team then? Does he take the all star spot of someone in the West? If so, who?

This came up when Iverson got traded to Denver. IIRC, he played for the West.

to me, this is actually a big game. they're just ahead of us in the standings, and they're going to be super motivated to snap that long losing streak on tv against AD and the lakers. will be a tough one to get, imo.

If I remember correctly, I do not think this matters now because of the draft format. I think the draft is one of the reason why they were able to move the deadline to before the all star game because the teams are fluid now anyway
