That’s funny, 2 years, now they’re right back where they were 2 years ago, he’ll be in trade rumors all the time and in a year an expiring again. I’m still open for trading for Hield though, you’d have to think it could be done for Bev, Walker and a 2nd or two.

Edit: ok seeing it broken down like this, really good deal for them after all, oh well.

If we make another trade, I think a trade like this for Hield is the most likely possibility. We keep Russ and either resign him (ugh) or lose that salary slot (ugh). We’re not trading those first rounders unless Beal or LaVine become available in the next 2 weeks.

Ya, sry but the truth hurts. You shouldn't have made the comparison and after I proved how insane it was, you should have admitted it was a mistake and just moved on. Instead you double down like you always do, make the argument something it isn't (like you just did again) to try and save face....rinse and repeat.

No, I am not just looking at our 2-10 start and basing Davis on that. As a matter of fact if you weren't too busy trying to make yourself right on an insane comment you shouldn't have made you would realize I said that we likely would have a better record right now had AD not missed those games, specifically on how dominant he was playing.

I am not however going to wind up eating my own words or keep doubling and tripling down. Even when AD was playing great- a 15-game stretch where he averaged 32.9 points and 13.9 points per game- absolute lights out- we only won 8 of those games (8-7) and he also missed two games and barely played in two others during that stretch (2-2). So, no I can't under any notion of seriousness assume we would have went an unrealistic 16-7 (.696) , even more ridiculous 19-4 (.826) or absolutely insane 23-0 in those contests, including the last twenty he just missed. It is ludicrous to suggest as much.

I’d take either one, along with a number of other players, we just need to improve.

haha an additional 17+ million on this year too so he's 30+ for 3 years. Way overpaid. I guess old Herb Simon doesn't care anymore hell, he's 88 and checking out any time. Turner is still tradeable but no one's taking him for that much now that Mini has Gobert anyway.

Oh, that actually works for us, Turner for 2 years @ 20 each. He is easily tradeable for Russ now, but would Indy want to deal, maybe some teams like "us" had hesitancy to trade before due to uncertainty on what Myles would do next season and how much he would want but front-loading his deal into this season makes it almost seem like they are hand-wrapping him for LA. Rob may have said to them we aren't giving up assets when there is that uncertainty there. And 20 million per is fair for Turner. About what most were hoping he would take. This way Myles gets his paper and it doesn't matter to us.

I don't even know what you are talking about now dude. AD didn't score 30pts or more until game 13. He only played in 12 more full games before the bone spur thing. I'm not sure what 15 game stretch that you are referring to. We were 8-4 with two overtime losses to Philly and Boston and dropped a 1 pt game to Indiana during those 12 games. He only played a couple of minutes against Cleveland and Denver..we won one and lost one of those games. I counted neither. I wouldn't assume to lose 3 more games, like we did in those I mentioned.

So the idea that 16-7 was unrealistic is nonsense. I never said anything about 23-0, but you keep throwing that out there for some reason anyways.

Furthermore we only played 20 games after he went down with the bone spur, and we went 10-10, I'm not sure why it's impossible to believe ,that we could have went at least 15-5 with AD. Top 3 in the West?

Like I said, that blah, blah, blah you just posted, is not as impressive as you think it is...again.

So yeah..I'm doubling, tripling, quadrupling down on my point actually. Moving forward on it..let's see what happens.

I'd take Turner and scraps for Russ too. We wouldn't have to take Hield, or give up 2 FRP, works for me.

I guess everyone else, hovering around 500, is better suited to make a run than we are with AD or something.

Too bad those few teams above us, Wolves, Thunder, Warriors have been playing good basketball lately, and are not likely to just drop in the standings. We need to overtake two teams to end up in the play-in. One of them will be Portland for sure, then there's Utah... they are not doing great right now. Mavs lost Luka due to ankle injury, but I think they'll probably make it. His injury is not serious and he might even be back next week. So, it looks like we're close, but so is everyone else, and teams aren't just going to go away. We need a serious winning streak to finish the season.

We still have games to play against the Wolves, Thunder and Warriors. I'm not counting them as losses

We can go on a double digit win streak. I'm not sure why this is supposed to be impossible, our schedule is pretty mild down the stretch.
