I laughed more than I should with the bone bruise. Brilliant stuff ahah That's an interesting content suggestion, the lowlights. Definitely would like to see it too in these type of cases
It's not a very good crop (i like Turner a lot, but not Turner and 9 minimum signings) and the one that we'd spend all our money on Draymond Green. Rui saved Rob from himself this summer. Going big game hunting puts us in a bad spot again and we would go the one year mercenary route again.
Ehhh. I don’t really agree with this. Feels like a reach to try and find something to criticize here. We actually don’t really have limited draft assets and still have seconds. We have limited firsts we can trade but that was the case regardless. Those players listed are fine but no one I would be concerned about missing out on in free agency. Plus there’s still opportunity to trade for them if we really want them. I much prefer trading for guys and starting to build a team now rather than rolling the dice in free agency. I was never a fan of cap space this summer. Any other team getting a former lottery pick for seconds would be praised.
i don't think he saved anything because i don't think he ever intended or intends to use cap space unless something terrible happens. we're on hour 36 of "find a way to criticize a no-brainer trade", true to laker fan/media form. i'm not even gaga for rui. it's just a no-brainer trade.
the footwork that handy's showing can be game-changing. still remember when my old jv coach taught me to meet traps with the back foot as the pivot. just simplified stuff.
Hey LT. I was trying to watch some video of Rui. I wasn't familiar with him. This looks like a huge signing. Not just the size but he has skills. I liked the pump fake out on the three point line and then the dribble in for the mid range shot. With Rui, AD and Austin all being ready to play soon we are going to b formidable. I like this signing a lot. I keep seeing #18 in my head.
LOL. Man some ppl reallyyyyy reaching. I'm glad we're not going into the summer "banking" on landing some pipe dream superstar that will definitely not come here (especially if we end up missing the playoffs). Like someone else said - this is saving Rob from himself in a weird way. I don't even trust that we'll deploy the cap space correctly - we'd go splurge on ONE guy (dryamond) and then still have holes all over the roster that we fill out with minimum guys. We need to acquire guys via trade to fill up our cap space and acquire bird rights lik we did with Rui. We're not going to get anybody worth mentioning in the summer because there's nobody actually available that is a game changer for us. Our only hope was Nets having a horrible season and tey didn't - so Kyrie is very likely to stay. All the others want big money and they're not going to live up to that contract. This Rui deal was an absolute no brainer and anbyody saying it's not is a huge hater.
Exactly …. some really clueless comments about how we might have screwed up by not being able to hurt ourself that way.
We got a young, bullishly strong 6’8 guy that averages 13ppg at a position of need for peanuts. What is there to complain about?
Great. Bodes well for a reasonable team friendly deal to stay, definitely. A hug from Jeanie and all those banners and trophies on display … he’s ours!
Draymond is surprisingly plugged in to the Lakers and even mentioned Max Christie. Glad Christie is on players radar already. Starting at 23:17
