As I always do these days I watched on time shift. To blow through the commercials and shorten the time, and because much as I often enjoyed Game Day, I just missed too much of the action typing on the damn phone while trying to watch.

So the game's going along and we're in the 3rd quarter hanging around but down 8 or so points and it's looking like this excellent Memphis team as expected is going to wind up pulling away from us and winning. But WTF, not different than any other damn Laker game, I'm going to watch to the bitter end.

Then all of a sudden I see this little news flash pop up on my off cell phone that the Lakers won 122-121. No way!! Way!! So the rest of the watching become pure joy waiting to see how it was all going to unfold. Sheeeeooot!! Down to the final 20 seconds or whatever with us down I thought it would definitely be someone was going to hit a 3. Certainly not Dennis pulling off the great steal and improbable plus one physically defended layup.

Dude, I didn't even watch the game, I checked it out towards the end of the 3rd quarter and we were down by 13. I figured blechhhh!! Then I saw they won by a single point so I watched the whole thing on replay. It was sweet.

Hey buddy …. if you actually did not watch these last 2 games I don’t understand it and can only say you have cheated yourself out of a couple of inspirational and thrilling games while we are short handed. There’s nothing wrong with the basketball being played pertaining to 38 year old LeBron. It’s been amazing. He has this team on his back and is making the right plays.

A real comeback ends with a nice win.

AD will be back soon and hopefully we are able to make a trade before the deadline.

A lot of ups and downs this season but the playoffs are still in reach.

Finally - we get a nice comeback win and I HOPE we are done with "moral" victories.

This was probably the best win of the year...and I literally said this about the game on FRIDAY too...so I'll fricking take it!!!

Thomas Bryant and Schroder were HUGE once again...and Lebron..well...37-11-4 in Year 20...and several huge plays in the 4th...I mean what he's doing is incredible.

We had not won IN Portland since 2019....think about that!!!!

This was a damn impressive win - it's always tough to win in portland for as many years as I can remember!

We got a little bit of momentum now going into the b2b home-stand against Clippers and Spurs. Absolutely need to pick up those wins especially with AD potentially still out.

11-9 since AD went down is very impressive though. This team does not quit - I will say that's one really great thing about HAM - he doesn't let these guys quit. This game would have been a for sure L last year.

BTW since starting 2-10, Lakers are now 20-15. Not bad....but still need work. We finally passed up a t4eam in the standings tonight (portland) but unforutnately the Thunder and Suns both won against the Nuggets (w/o Jokic of course our luck) and Suns (without Booker/Ayton). Jsut a tough break for us - really needed those teams to lose these games. But you know what? We need to take care of busines...keep this winnning attitude ESP with AD on his way back hopefully this week.

I really hope we take it personal on Tuesday as we literally haven't beaten the Clippers in what, 3 years? They have been up and down lately...and we really need to fihnally get a dub against them but it will be tough especially without AD.

Russ was off on offense tonight and his usual assortment of stuff on the negative side would have likely kept us from the win in crunch time. Ham wisely sat him down. Got to give him huge props for his Russ management and handling.

Yeah. Not sure what made Ham finally come to his senses, but I was glad to see that.

That game was a classic, this one may end up being one to watch years from now as well

    Fantastic last few wins.

Like Laker Film Room said a few episodes ago, this team is full of a bunch of try hards. What they lack in ability they make up for at least some of the deficit in giving consistent effort.

Ham gets a lot of the credit here too because you can tell almost everyone has bought in to giving maximum effort every night for him and embracing their roles. I liked Vogel, but never felt the team liked him or played as hard for him as they do Ham.

They did the first year and in the Bubble under those difficult circumstances certainly. If that fell off in year too I would think possibly some of it had to do with bringing in the guys the front office seemed to have made promises to about starting, over what he might have wanted. And last year which was year one of Russ turned everything on its head. Frank had a good rep with players. But who knows you could be right …. And maybe Ham is even better in that regard.

Definitely agree on Ham. The team plays hard for him and hasn’t quit.

Well, that was - as Ireland & Thompson said last night -- the most bizarre game of the season. Good win though. Finally beat the team we directly compete with for the play-ins and no fake comeback(s) this time.

me last week: sit lebron against memphis, and sit lebron if we get down 25 in the second half of any game.

Finally something good came from our pint sized backcourt. The pressure and intensity they both brought in the second half was key to this win. They stayed connected with Simons and Dame and that's no easy task
