There is no way in hell, that this team isn’t making the playoffs with AD. Not no damn play in game either. At some point it's about time to accept, that maybe...just maybe, this squad isn't as bad as some of you guys are determined to believe it is. Look around the West...who do you really fear?

His 3s don't make up for the subsequent 2-3 bone head plays he feels entitled to just because the 3 went in. Or that he's the easiest player to scheme against because he will not pass. Like ever. Then defense, holy s***!

If they can land a couple of guys that will be in the top 9 of our rotation but fit needs and slot the rest of the roster, we're good.

In free agency, I'd love to get Turner (if he hits the market) or Grant. Either address big time needs. But if you sink $25m to either, you're back to rounding out the rest of the roster with vet mins. I have no interest in that. I don't want cap space, we'll end up with a watered down roster.

sorry to say but you are completely deluded, and not just in your Russ opinions. Just this week we needed 48 from Lebron to beat the Rockets and they scored 130+ points on us.

Meh...trade the guys you aren’t likely to keep..Bev,Nunn and Walker for one player, and run it back. Add some depth with the 3 draft picks, and go over the cap for our vet mins and FA. We will most likely pick up at least one good player on the vet minimum again this summer. I don't think Jeannie cares about some repeater tax, as long as the team wins. With a Healthy AD, this team is going to win, and win a lot.

So what? And we beat the best team in the Conference with a subpar game from Lebron. You don't know WTH you are talking about. Your Russ take is garbage too.

and yet we just beat the hottest team in the NBA without 2 starters and a 6th man in Austin Reeves. We have a healthy team and we can beat anyone.

i agree with most of their points, but like with vucevic, i think they put too much weight in "but can he do it in the playoffs?" how about we get there and then worry about it? most teams don't have the luxury of worrying about whether their 4th or 5th best player is a prime time playoff performer. iow, they're choosing some high bars.

There are a few roleplayers out there I would kick the tires on, that can help this team and shouldn’t cost any first round picks:

    - Taureen Prince
    - Jae Crowder
    - Derrick Jones Jr
    - Justice Winslow
    - Royce O’Neal
    - Caris Lavert

I wonder if the front office has explored a Nunn/Bev and some second rounders for any of these guys

Lakers would be in good position if they end up with both Rozier and Bojan.

    Pros:

    • Both are elite three-point shooters both in terms of accuracy and volume
    • Both would fit seamlessly into the offense and could make the Lakers into an offensive juggernaut.
    • Both could open up the floor for LBJ and AD.
    • Both make a low dollar amount per year relative to their production, Rozier making 21.5 million this season, and Bojan making 19.6.
    • Their low cost increases Lakers chances of retaining Reaves and/or Bryant after the season.
    • Both are locked into those deals for the long term, Rozier for four years, and Bojan for three.
    • Rozier is relatively young at 28 years old.
    • Bojan adds much needed size to the wing position.
    Cons:

    • Neither provides much wing defense, but then again how many good wing defenders are there really in the league? Not many. In fact, there are not that many good defenders, period. Most of them are not good shooters, which we don't need. Instead, Lakers go the route of offense is the best defense. Lakers could find cheap defensive wing reclamation projects with a broken jump shot for relatively cheap, and use them for limited minutes, or hope that they improve like Stanley did. They shouldn't have to pay much for those guys.
    • Bojan is a bit long in the tooth at 33/34 years old.
    • Rozier adds some of duplication, but Nunn/Bev/Russ may be gone anyway when the dust settles. Rozier is better than them anyway though.

Prince, Jones, and Winslow could be options in that order. It's tricky with Minny because they want PG help and we've heard there's mutual interest with Bev, but it's a tough team to get the salaries to match. Bulls are in limbo, Jones only gets 15 minutes a night there, he can be had. Derrick Jones and Tony Bradley (salary filler) works for JTA and Damian Jones + a 2nd. Maybe Blazers let Winslow go because they're struggling. He's playing 27 minutes a night, maybe they do Winslow for Nunn and a couple seconds if we send the more favorable of the upcoming seconds that we have. If Dame is on the floor, I just have a hard time seeing them as sellers regardless of standings. They know they need to do right by him and continue to surround him with as much talent as they can.

Levert is a 30 minute a night player on a playoff team and has started half of their games, not available for we're offering.

Suns want a starter for Crowder, we can't give them that.

O'Neale is a 35 minute a night player and has started every game he's played for a contender (when KD is healthy) . Not happening.

To be fair, if the only bad thing they have to say about Kuz is his 28% mark from 3 in the playoffs, then they should use that same logic with LeBron’s current performance.
LeBron is shooting 29% from three, so he must be having a terrible season, right?

One win! Yay! Who are we? The Clippers?
This team has shown all season long that they are flawed and need to swap out several of their dead weight players for ones who will contribute to winning. The win was nice, but when you are constantly under .500 and have a losing record against the good teams in the League, you are not a good team.

we are headed the right direction, but at iceberg speed. There may not be enough time to improve this team and make the playoffs or make noise in the playoffs.

But hey, bright shiny moments. It's like being a crappy golfer and hitting Par on one hole out of 18. It keeps fans coming back thinking there is hope, and the crappy golfer coming back thinking he should be playing like that every hole.

Rob stuck Ainge with 21.3 million THT contract which is not panning out for him at all and Pat Bev's is just expiring for us. Ainge waived Stanley so he got nothing there. In a battle of salary dumps and the usefulness of players, Rob won. AInge is stuck with a guy next year for 11.5 million that Hardy is playing garbage minutes.

Despite Pat's low numbers he is providing a veteran presence on this team and a defensive presence. He hit a few big 3s in yesterday's game, raised his avg to 34%. Come playoffs he will be a good player to have onboard when the game slows down and D counts the most.
