    I'm actually ok with giving up ONE and only ONE of our 3 young guys. This move puts us back on the map in a big big way. I trust Mitch in this situation.

    Convince them of taking less money this season and get paid next season with a chance of adding a third..... Pipe dream but if someone can pull it off, it's Mitch.

    Eric Pincus saying we would S & T for Aldridge and that cap space would allow us to have DAJ. But Im guess that means we'd have to part with a pick + Randle.

    Yep... but I would be wary of a short, stumpy, ex-lawyer coming in to put a stop to any proceedings because of an uproar from incompetent owners. Oh wait...

    The pay cut route would be much smarter if these two want to win. Kobe's contract proves we take care of ours. Not sure DJ wants that though. He's looking to be more involved offensively and out of the shadows. With LMA, Kobe, and three hungry young kids; he's not getting the lion's share of touches he's seeking.

    I think he actually would get a lot of looks in that offense. Kobe retires, he gets plenty.

    A thought I kind of toyed with for this: Aldridge gets near max, Jordan gets the left overs for three years. Lakers get his Bird Rights and max the hell out of him? I don't know...

    Caron Butler has been linked to the lakers maybe he takes the vet min or the exception

    And we can sign brooks or someone else for the minimum too
