Folks, I've been receiving a plethora of questions regarding what the FO's plans are, especially with the recent Turner news, but don't have anything new to add beyond my end of offseason update quoted above. My hunch is the Turner news is more a cat and mouse game with him and Indiana, as opposed to a blockbuster trade getting traction. Indiana is not inclined to gift Turner to LAL, and likewise LAL does not have a particular sense of urgency regarding this season either. As mentioned previously, they are willing to swoop in near the deadline and snag him, but only if the price is right. The FO is onboard with a Turner/Davis frontcourt, especially with the vocal Rambis desire to play 2 bigs down low.

If things do pick up steam, I imagine it will happen very quickly, and you'll hear much more concrete information right away. Turner is not the perennial all-star that will dominate billboards and marketing campaigns, but I am sure he will add a lot of value to the tea,. But until then, I suppose all we can do is sit back and hope the LAL's recent success continues.

    Take care all!!!

Brown has been more than fine as well even if considered not starter material, though he did fine at it, as well as it allowing Walker to play his best ball of the season. Prior to giving up the spot to Schroder alongside Beverly.

Lebron is human, he gets got caught up in the heat of the moment, and spouts out weird stuff at times. My personal opinion is that he wants Bev, Nunn and Jones moved for somebody, even if it costs a FRP. I have been on record since training camp, that this team has the ingredients, "as currently constructed", but Anthony goes out and throws a monkey wrench into the situation...yet again. Dennis and Thomas missed our first 13 games, and definitely could have helped us avoid that 2-10 start. I'm pretty sure that in Lebron's mind, get AD back, coupled with the play of some of these guys we have, one move puts us into serious contention. It's not a guarantee of success, but we wouldn't go into any 7 game series feeling like the underdog.

That being said, Rob is being prudent IMO so far, we don't need to rush into a bad trade, giving up assets just to please Lebron.

Amick knew what he was doing baiting the hell out of him with the leading questions slanted against the FO.

Also FWIW, since I see a lot of discussion about the LBJ interview, I'll share some perspective. Most of this is probably obvious information, but just in case if folks are curious...

I have had multiple folks tell me that LBJ has pretty much written off the FO after their numerous debacles, including the Lue & Vogel contract negotiations, Magic's departure, poor offseason decision making, etc. But at this point in his career, LBJ is not inclined to ruin his reputation, continue ring chasing, and add credence to the "Le-GM" criticism. Right now, his basketball goals are to obtain the scoring record and eventually play with his son. Otherwise, he feels his legacy is in a good place and enjoys living in LA and growing his business empire. This, BTW, is very similar to the sentiment from Kobe's camp towards the end of his career, so Pelinka is well aware.

Of course, LBJ is still a competitor and despises losing. My hunch is that the recent reports of him "giving up" have prompted this dramatic episode to turn the narrative slightly. But for now, LBJ is committed to LAL until the option of playing with his son is on the table. After all, why would he have signed the extension, especially given he was much more evasive with Miami and Cleveland in the past.

Okay that's all for now. Have to jet! Take care all!!!

Bronny will absolutely get drafted by the Lakers if we have the opportunity, unless he blossoms into a legit FRP. It depends on him,(I think Bryce might be the better player eventually), but at the very least he would get signed by the Lakers as a G league prospect

What if some other team does it first hoping to lure James there? (although he recently changed it up to even just playing in the league at the same time with him for a year might be enough)

I think it depends on the situation, if his son gets drafted, he's a proud poppa first above everything else. Now...would he leave an opportunity to compete for a chip, just to play with his son on a minimum contract? Hell no IMO, the narrative would change to " I always said that.. It's my dream to play with my son". If the kid goes undrafted or something, and we passed on picking him up, and someone else did? Lebron is going to be pissed about that. He might go to college and play 3 or 4 years tho.

Please, God, let some team draft his bum son and than trade for Bron. Please! Can't happen quicker.

Aside from the fact that I think Mr. Rambis is full of it, just for the sake of the discussion, if that's the sentiment, Bron can go choke... He literally ruined a championship team someone else compiled for him... by trading for Russ. There is nothing that would convince me that it wasn't his and AD's doing. That was the BS that started it all.

Please, let some team draft his son and trade for his old behind for like 4 FRPs.

Agh ..BAD take all the way around. Were you on the " F Lebron, let's keep the young core together "! thing too?

Lol..I mean jeesh..Lebron and AD were a thousand times more important than Caruso, KCP and Kuz. That's utterly ridiculous.

Media stiring up drama in LA... that's a first :D
Btw, either Balmer pays off media for good publicity... or no one really gives a f*** about the Tennants.

with bryant's emergence, i don't think i'd even be willing to give up a 1st for turner at this point

play bryant at the 5 and AD at the 4. even lebron is calling for it, which means it'll happen.....right?

Has there been any proof of life with Lee Jenkins since he left SI? Was the money worth it whatever the hell he does for them? What does he write now and who knows it?
