I like Austin..he has improved his game this season. I'm a bit hesitant to make some trade for a wing in order to compensate for Lebron's defensive shortcomings. This means that Reaves and Walker minutes are going to be cut, because Lebron ain't coming off the floor regardless. It's a tricky decision IMO.
I don't know what it is... It seemed like a meh game from him... and then you see that he led the team in +/- with +17
He's a connector guy: the Lakers in the 4th even with AD and Lebron ran him as the PNR ballhandler. He didn't score but because he's so good at so many it helps everyone else. The floater in the lane over Giannis proved he was a threat so can't ignore him and that was his only points in the 4th but I thought he was awesome** **outside of the defense on the Allen shot: looked he went under
Moxie...confidence...big moments don't faze him. I doubt Failinka will move him unless it's some RIDICULOUS offer. But then again....
He just doing what needs to be done without worrying about stats, which is a good thing bc he hasn't got the ball passed to him quite a few times when he should have. Ham is still figuring out how to use Austin. I think he will get it.
It’s going to take that plus Ham demanding they get the ball to him more often when he’s in position to potentially make something good happen.
Reaves has been our 2nd best player this year. We better lock him up long-term. https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/nba-player-ratings/
We see the trust finally with AR, they are giving him the ball in crunch time. Until this year Reaves would be a scare crow in the corner while lebron or Westbrook didn't even look his way. It's been beautiful to watch the evolution of Reaves, he's officially an og now.
He got cooked by Mitchell. Was also hoping he would ball out yesterday. He's still growing and his ceiling is as a notable role player. The similarities with Ingles are unbelievable He will surely continue to grow
Probably some regression and team's actually scouting him! This is a good thing as if he wasn't good teams wouldn't be paying attention to him. I think he's got the skills to adjust but every young player goes through this
He's a top tier role player at his best. The only way he could crack 40% from three is if he has tiny volume. He's not a knockdown three guy. That's okay though cause he has enough value in other areas.
He's a jack of all trades role-player. It's not realistic to expect star numbers from him, that's not what he does. Passing, high BB IQ, good scoring from time to time and solid perimeter defense. That's who he is.
