I thought Lebron played pretty similar to his Indiana game, he was just hitting lazy long 3's and taking breaks on D.

But his numbers will hide the lack of effort. Don't really like this version of LBJ.

On the plus side he wasn’t pounding the ball as much overall though. The threes were taken quicker and he was making better passes and driving a bit more I thought. But yes, I think this will mostly just be LeBron now, dude has more mileage on him than probably any NBA player in history if you’re counting all this Finals runs and Team USA appearances.

Hmm, I’ll take the 31 points on 67% shooting plus 7 boards and 8 assists from the 37 year old any day.

same. as we discussed in the game thread, the middle stretch of the 4th was the same bad shots, they just went in instead. not a long term winning strategy.

at least we went to actions for AD late.

Very solid game. Didn't force anything and played good D.

It's amazing what can happen when one doesn't pound the ball.

Quite impressive. Yes, he barely tries on defense anymore, but that's a given. Keeps getting mauled, but keeps playing through it, which is truly impressive for his age. Passed Magic today in assists.

Picked up the offense late with some big makes.

Like Russ, put up 11 dimes and 0 assists. Efficiency at the highest level.

It's really a missed opportunity that he never got a shoe lace endorsement. Never seen anything like it. His ankle could get amputated and thrown into the stands. If he can sit there and have time to tighten those laces, he'll be OK.

And he can do this a lot more frequently if he wanted to.

right?! we saw none of that down the stretch.

i'm really liking lebron in the midpost with AD setting a screen to get him in the middle. teams will try to counter by either loading up and leaving wide open threes on the strong side (i think even our bad shooters will hit those) or jumping and trapping lebron (bad idea).

Father Time is making/has made inroads physically. Those treys of his maintained momentum. Took on Giannis defensively down the stretch.

stockton was so good. my blind hatred for him colored my perspective during much of his career, but he was basically chris paul before chris paul. i'm convinced stockton could have averaged 30 if he wanted, too.
