We shall most definitely see, the games are going to be played regardless.

When it happens I'm sure that you will deflect to " The West is just weak this year, this team still sucks"!

That move, along with maybe one more with Bev and Nunn IMO makes us a for sure playoff team with a punchers chance at going far if they gelled quick. I’m all for something like that.

Should be fun to see how we play MIL tonight

do we nut up or crumble? Does AD give Giannis fits or vice versa?

    Internal is the key word.

I don't think the Bulls blow it up. The dots of logic don't connect for me. They're too good to tank or rebuild. They're a middle of the pack playoff level team and that's OK.

Right, it’s just what the Lakers would be interested in, not that Chicago would do it at all. The actual Lowe quote

“The trade I saw on Twitter was Russ and both picks, one with light protections I think for DeRozan and Vucevic,” Lowe said on his podcast. “I can tell you 100 percent for sure that the Lakers have had internal discussions about that very possibility, if it would ever come up. Not that they would do that. Let me be clear.”

BUT, Chicago is very middle of the pack, DeRozan is 33, Vucevic is 32, their usefulness with this team has an expiration date. I could see our draft picks being very desirable for them going forward, and Russ’ expiring gives them room to add around LaVine and such.

I’d want to make that trade, but DeRozans fit with this team should be talked about more. He’s not as bad a fit with LeBron and AD as Russ, but he’s not a great fit either. He still doesn’t shoot threes and has never been a plus defender. If LeBron has the ball, what exactly is Demar going to do?

The general perception of Vucevic is that he’s a 3pt shooting big but he’s Bernat like 34% for most of his career. Defenses don’t really react to him shooting from out there. A DeRozan/LeBron/AD/Vucevic lineup with any of our guards (probably Reaves) filling that 5th spot is still going to be a poor shooting lineup. I’m confident we could still get that lineup to defend at a high enough level, but we’d have to trust the individual talent to shine through since it’s not super cohesive offensively.

yeah, i don't think derozan/vucevic would make this team all that better. and derozan wouldn't be a good fit alongside lebron either

you are absolutely right, DD is a desperate move.

don't get me wrong, DeRozan is a very good player, but he would not be a good fit with Lebron.

give me any volume shooter who can play solid D, instead.

    derozan/vucevic is turner/hield in a different dress.

i'm interested, just like i was in the other. but not at the cost of two unprotected picks.

I'd take Caruso + Lonzo (if fit) over DD

Man, if we could just turn PatBev & Nunn, plus possibly one pick into a great role-player with a clearly defined role on this team, we'd actually be a worthy playoff team.

I like Demarr, but he kind of has the Kuzma problem, in that his preferred operating space, conflicts with Lebron's and AD's. Kuz could at least knock down a couple of 3's.
