he'll probably be on a minutes restriction, but i guarantee he chose to return for the lakers game purposely. maybe he wants to play against ham
lol of course. btw, i somehow hadn't realized that milwaukee was without middleton for the entirety thus far. yikes.
I hadn't either. Lordy they are stacked if they are winning like this without Middleton. Bucks and C Bags are the only ones who look like true contenders to me.
feel like gs will snap out of it at some point, and phx can threaten if paul can walk, but yeah, the west has nobody really scary. i mean, will denver or NO pounce on a chance to go the finals? would be wild. they'd stand no chance against those two teams, though, imo.
Suns are making a trade and I want to see what that injects into the team. They'll move Crowder at some point. They talked about Collins briefly. They have all their picks. I think they could be big deadline players for something... just don't know what direction they go.
Giannis is in that stage of his career where he is clearly the best the player in his league: I really like him but just because they have Grayson Allen I hope they lose. Celts getting Brogdon just makes puke thinking about how much the Lakers gave up for Westbrook. They are stacked
yeah, boston is looking even better than they did last season. already scaring me the bucks are really the only team in the east currently capable of knocking them off
makes me puke because indy gave up brogdon for junk and one first (and a low one at that), but demanded two (likely much better) future 1sts AND eating hield's salary for turner from us. the only thing working against boston, imo, is that they rely heavily on al horford. he's 36 and playing 30+mpg and is really integral to their success, imo. he also has a history of injuries. can he make it through four rounds of playoffs again? sort of a chris paul situation in that i'm very dubious.
Sloppy. Too many turnovers and mental mistakes against a team we nearly had a 30 point lead on. Kept letting them come back and stick around. Minute distribution didn't make a lot of sense, either.
The rumors are that FO gave promised to Schroeder and Bevs guaranteed minutes? This is just bizarre neither of these guys are that good. Schroeder was out of the league and you traded for Bev's. Plus they both play the same position and Russ This is frustrating not only was this lineup built in the expectations of a trade happening in terms of personnel. You have to make a trade so you don't have to keep your promises to underperforming dudes?
They've really only ever succeeded playoff expectations in the Tatum Brown when Horford has played. Certain guys give him a hard time: is Tristan Thompson still in the league lol? It's a real shame Lakers didn't make a move for him: his contract blows but then we seem quite content with Russ and Bevs. Him and AD together on defense would be terrifying
Yeah that three point guard lineup in the fourth is just disgusting to watch. The three biggest knuckleheads on the team, none of whom can shoot to save their lives and all 6 ft three and guarding bigger guys on D who they can’t handle. Ham, WTH dude? Stop it. Just stop!
Watching Ezell the Hobo attempt to guard Kyle Kuzma reminded me of the bad old days of Damfony when Steve Blake would get torched by big wings like Klay Thompson. Darvin has done a great coaching job so far but he needs to fix this. It's going to cost us.
Can you elaborate on this rumor? I haven’t heard anything about that, and honestly it doesn’t really make any sense. Beverley was someone we traded for, not a free agent. Promises about minutes couldn’t have even legally taken place. Sure in theory they could have happened via back channels, but I don’t buy it. Beverley on a Jazz team that everyone thought was bound for the top of the Tankathon standings, was going to signal to the Lakers (a team he had been publicly pitching himself to for months) that he wasn’t interested in being traded for unless he got a minutes guarantee? I can’t see that. With Schröder, he was actually a sought after FA after his international play this summer, so I can kinda see us promising him playtime during negotiations. But I still don’t think that’s what’s going on. I think the reason Beverley is getting heavy playtime is in hopes of pumping up his trade value. With Schröder he’s actually playing decent (8 assists yesterday), but if he’s playing too much I think it’s more of a “We may need to trade Russ, let’s make sure we can trust Schröder to step up and start building that chemistry” kinda thing
Please trade Bevs, Nunn ASAP - get them away from Ham and get a real NBA player in here. Just f***ing tough not having AD/Wenyen with Lonnie still not looking right and the other team gets Allen back - just rough
