someone check on sam quinn. anyway, he's a point forward. i still don't think he'll be a pg, but he's already good enough to initiate offense in the half court.
yeah, phil used ron harper as a pg, so sure, why not? but almost nobody runs that way anymore. and phil had pippen and jordan at the other spots if teams got aggressive on the ballhandler.
just set up for "teams preparing to offer austin reaves poison pill 4/80 million". followed by the lakers signing him at near the mle, followed by "lakers overpay low-ceiling bench player austin reaves".
Man Phil Jackson was the best coach I've ever seen: just always set his players up to succeed. Well before the 3 point revolution: dumped Campbell and made a SF in Horry into stretch 4.
His usage rate is way too low: Ham got Russ to the bench, now he's got to start getting Reaves more plays initiating as the PG. He is the future de facto PG of this team.
I agree. He plays great alongside Lebron and AD. Not to beat a dead horse here but can you imagine a closing lineup of Reaves Hield Lebron AD and Turner? I sure can.
The brothers sure seem to take exception to him and constantly with hard physical and often fouling contact on the court. He takes a beating out there every game. But pops back up and keeps playing well.
@abeer3 I think you called Herro his ceiling which I suspected was too high. Looks like I could be wrong, Reaves is a better defender than Herro already and Reaves PG ability is awesome. He's a legit starter AND closer on a good NBA team which is shocking for a second year dude who wasn't drafted
The kid just keeps getting better and better. He was the brightest spot of last season and looks to repeat it this year. It’s cool to see him get love from Lebron and Russ after the game while he was getting interviewed.
