As far as I know, we were #1 in pace even with LeBron on the court. But yeah, moving the ball is key, as is AD's health.

With Ham's proclamation early that AD would be the focus the roster was built with limited resources for AD. As many have said it is up to Lebron to come in and adjust to that. If Lebron can overcome the stubbornness that abeer alluded to he will find the game will come much easier. He will score just as much and maybe even enjoy himself. I know he says the right things but Lebron needs to accept that AD is the focus, not him. We will know soon if his massive ego will allow that to happen.

Yeah, we're actually slightly slower now without Bron. Still #2 though. Still one of the best defensive teams in the league. The offense is... well... it used to be #30, now it's #28, so... making progress I guess?

lebron at 38 is still our most effective offensive player in a vacuum. my point is that lebron is one of the last to embrace ham's philosophy on offense. he need to move himself and the ball and trust that it will find him in an advantageous position. i think he knows this (he's sort of a basketball genius, all jokes aside) but is too old/lazy/stubborn/whatever to fully commit to the program.

i hope his time as a spectator has helped him see that if he basically acts like wenyen and reaves out there, he'll break the scoring record AND win a lot more games.

I think Bron doesn’t want to use the energy it would take to move without the ball. He rests while pounding the ball for 20 seconds.

yeah, not to beat a dead horse, but i'd much rather him play hard and then sit entire games strategically than use 1/4 of offensive possession and 3/4 of defensive possessions to rest.

One good thing about our recent success, albeit against poor opponents is too old/lazy/stubborn/whatever will be obvious if he comes back and our ball pounding uninspiring offense returns. The players have to just absolutely hate playing that way.

Lebron chose to comeback Friday bc he did not want his first game back to end the winning streak and make him look bad. He should have played last night and help us beat the suns. That was a winnable game minus Schroder and some very perplexing line ups.

guessing he just wanted the extra rest over thanksgiving to be sure he's right. tbh, coming back in the phx game was less pressure, imo, as it's a road game against a top team. we're not supposed to win; you're playing with house money. we're supposed to win both at SA, and that's tough to do, even against a bad team.

I think the Friday return is probably because he and the medical staff wanted to see how the groin responded to a practice before him playing a game. Makes sense.

With that he could just keep resting. One more day, another game. I think he is very aware of how Lebron ball is being perceived. He watches out for himself, which we all should, but not always what is best for the team. The San Antonio game is much less pressure bc the streak is broken.
