    Stein updates

    Crowder and Collins
If Cunningham is shut down, chances of trading Bogdanovic could increase
Signs are pointing to the Jazz not tanking -- interested in Collins and looking to extend JC instead of moving him

That’s all well and good, but how are his stocks doing? Doesn’t mean anything to have just have them, anyone can, matters if they’re trending upwards.

Great, especially if you options trade because of the volume his stock brings.

Haven't looked at a chart for Tesla, but this is my wheelhouse.

Technicals, financials, dilution, financing, it's all me, babe.

So we went from Lowry. To Cam Reddish. To a 3rd string C and a 1st. Only to settle on a washed Bev.

    Good job Rob.

How legit do we know this is, like where did he get it and just now coming out? Honest questions don’t get all mean now. ;)

There are several starting caliber role players who are likely expendable by their respective teams right now, who could fit well and help this lakers team. I’m thinking some combination of Beverley+Nunn and a second rounder sort of trade may be fair value to get some of these players:

    - Caris Levert: He has been coming off the bench for Cleveland, has shown he can be a very productive player when given the minutes. He’s similar to Lonnie Walker in size where he’s best suited to be a SG but can play the SF position. He’s also a expiring contract, so Cleveland might see this as a easy way to get a second round pick if they have no intention of re-signing him.

    - Someone posted a tweet that Tobias Harris may be available, and this could work as part of a Westbrook salary dump if we can also somehow get De’Anthony Melton. We may need to include 1 first round pick, but Melton is the exact kind of point guard this team needs. He’s been putting up big numbers when given minutes when Harden and Maxey have been out, particularily he reminds me a lot of Caruso with better offense. I would love it if we somehow got Melton even without Tobias, like I said… he might be worth a first rounder (protected) if Philly is willing to trade him

    - Taureen Prince with Minnesota, decent contract where we can basically trade Beverley straight up for him and we throw in a 2nd rounder. He’s a prototypical 3 and D wing with size on a decent contract.

    - Jonathan Isaac for Beverley/Nunn and a 2nd? This would be a huge gamble on the Lakers part because Isaac hasn’t played in 2 years and his contract runs for another 3. But the kid is young, and he showed he’s a great 3 and D player who can also guard in the post.

Most of those suggestions I'm in on. But this one...

Absolutely not. He's not quite Kyrie. But they share some of the same web browser search history. Anti Vax, subscribes to some conspiracy stuff and has attended conferences that promote those topics, was the only one in the bubble not to kneel against the violence that was going on across the nation. Kyrie has the talent where you at least have to discuss whether he's with worth it or not (he's not). Isaac hasn't achieved anything, so that's a hell no.

This is ridiculous. I’m honestly surprised more teams aren’t tanking harder.

He looks like a solid center piece to me. The ONLY worry is that he is light enough to be man handled and injured. Hope not but it would worry me a bit.

I have a hard time believing this report. This offer was kept silent for 9 months? If this is real at all, I’m guessing that pick would have been heavily protected, so it was likely Birch and a 2nd. Our FO has mismanaged assets, but this sounds like a BS offer that McMenamin was fed for clicks.

yeah, not all firsts are created equal. if it's a first that's lotto-protected for years until it changes to two seconds, it's not a first.

I don't think this was THE offer, but have no problem thinking it was an offer or a list of offers (pair x role player with x protected pick... who do you like?... how about?...) We talked to Toronto a lot about THT over the past 18 months-ish. They were the one team who's name kept popping up as a team interested in him from multiple sources. There were a few times they popped up in a 2 team deal and then there were talks of them in on a 3 team with us and NYK.

I was hoping we could of used THT in a trade with them for one of their many SFs. Maybe we could of nabbed OG for THT, Nunn and a first. He had a bit of a down year last year and Scottie Barnes emerged making him expendable. Fast forward a year and OG is their best defender and an integral part of their rotation.

And we... well we got Patrick Beverley for THT instead.

PatBev is a leader. He asks for all defensive assignments. He sets the tone and others follow. And so on.

God, I’m super bummed out that the Lakers don’t control their own draft pick for this one. It bothers me that if we continue to suck, the Pelicans will benefit with a shot at Webanyana at the expense of every Laker fan’s misery.
