I won't argue that though people do vary across the state, Cali is huge and where my family is from is a small farm town in central Cal and people are completely different than in say West LA. I don't think you would describe people in Hanford California like that if you met them.

I agree with that. I am just talking in the cities and larger towns. You get back into the rural areas and people are more like other people around the country. Most big cities, people suck. But even walking around San Diego, most people rarely even acknowledge your existence, let along actually talk with you. Nobody says high anymore. I don't blame them because there are so many weirdo's out there that you never know who you are letting into your space. In San Diego I have actually prided myself at being super good at avoiding people in public. Wasn't until I started noticing how different things were in other places that I actually realized my ability to avoid others in public was not actually a good thing. Just a needed thing for where I lived. Can't imagine you can completely escape it, even in Hanford.

Hanford might as well be in Texas it is so far removed from LA. It has grown to over 50,000 people now but I've been there recently, people have changed a little but still way way different than big-city folk like LA. My dad and grandfather lived and grew up on their own farm there. The town was much smaller, the biggest attractions were the theater and the local dairy place for ice cream. Actually those are still the big attractions lol. And I have been and lived all over the country people there have that general friendliness and trust you don't see in the big cities. And there are a lot of Laker fans there believe it or not. Jerseys all over the place (some GSW as well).

They are talking about this now so I don’t think there is any restriction re: trading for Bogdanovic at this time. Why would Detroit do this after extending him? Because they are in rebuilding mode and in the tankathon for Victor. I don’t think Bogdanovic fits their long term plans, the first article speculated he was signed so as to make it easier to move him. His deal is pretty user friendly. https://syndication.bleacherreport....c-burks-trade-amid-latest-nba-rumors.amp.html

    https://fanspo.com/nba/trade-machine

This trade machine fails the trade with “Bojan Bogdanovic cannot be traded this year since he signed an extension after September 28 (Training Camp).”

Both the recent articles about Bogdanovic are aggregations of the same source: Jake Fischer. So it’s not like this is picking up steam. I might be confusing Fischer with someone else, but I already don’t think he’s that reliable. Plus it sounds like he was speculating and just brainstorming ideas rather than reporting any actual news. It’s not surprising to me that other websites that aggregated his speculation would just take it at face value and not vet whether the trade idea would even be legal under the CBA.

I’m not a fan of that trade idea anyways to be honest. Bogdanovic would be nice, but not enough for a first rounder IMO. Burks and Noel don’t move the needle at all for me.

still think the waiting is as much about waiting out other teams' situations to devolve as it is waiting on our situation to improve.

Lol “Trevor Ariza will save our season”.

He can. But I’m not trading a first for him, I would have for a good Utah deal, but not him and Deroit pieces now. I’d trade 2 picks for Turner and Hield before doing that.

Bogdanovic has 3 years left and he's already 33, pass. I thought he may have taken the minimum from a contender but Detroit threw money at him.

Yeah I’ve read the rules like 4 times and I don’t see why not. The trade machine isn’t going to necessarily be the law here. If someone can point out why he can’t be moved as of an actual rule I’d appreciate it. I believe they can or we wouldn’t have this speculation. Could be wrong, but I need proof.

What if we could do this deal for one pick and Russ? Then come back to Indy with BevMo and Nunn and the other first for Turner.

Keith explains in that video why the deal can be done and why other players in similar situations can’t be traded for in these circumstance, it was interesting. I would probably do that deal if I knew for sure Turner was to follow. Bogdan, Burks, Noel, and Turner for Russ, Nunn, Bev and the picks to me is a solid haul that turns this team around.

To argue the other side, it was pointed out in the video I posted that he is only really guaranteed this season and next. Keith Smith says in the video he’s guaranteed 20 mil next season, and then the next season only guaranteed 2 mil. So there’s not a lot of risk beyond next season, you’re likely getting out before he falls off.

That’s my feeling too Weezy if you could be sure to get both deals done I think it’s an upgrade over the Indy Hield and Turner deal.

Bojan scores 20ppg and shooting 43% for 3 right now. His contract is not long, he's a perfect fit. I'd love to have him on the Lakers.
