Thank God you have no say in any Lakers decision making.

what good is having "stars" when you cant win gms? give me what Utah got going, sure very low chance at winning chip but 10x better than watching this garbage we call a team with 2 star n that other guy

You keep running the Kupchak/Jimmy Buss scenario as if we operate that way anymore. I will assume you are not a sales guy or don't put stock into what a real pitchman does. Kupchak and Jimmy were far behind Pelinka and his ability to do a fireside pitch. They had zero ability in that area. Whatever y'all say about Rob, that boy can pitch. He has zero bad relationships with players he has represented and that includes Kobe and James Harden. Hell, he was Kobe's best friend. You say we shouldn't rely on things like weather, um, why the hell not? People from warm-weather climes don't care for cold-weather climes. You say we shouldn't rely on celebrities but the fact is it entices many players, people who now make millions of dollars. State taxes are null because they can afford them. You say endorsements are all over and offer no examples, you are just talking out of your ***.

we need to take on salary past this year to move russ/bevs/nunn. i'm not even sure if we really need to bring in talent as long as we don't give up picks. i'm open to taking bad contracts so we can have picks attached, tbh.

I think every option should be on the table.

Definitely need to be willing to take on longer contracts.

Should have been. This is just bad management who's run by an inept owner.

    Definitely agreed.

The roster we have just isn’t goo enough and we’ve got no incentive to tank.

Everything should be considered: but let me make this crystal clear...with the exception of sending out picks to attempt to improve this team, IMO.

    It's time to start over...IMO.

For me the picks depend on the guy. I’d give them up for a younger guy like SGA for sure and Durant. My thought on giving up the picks is we need to get back good players who will be good for several seasons.

I like SGA, but I'd be more tempted to build around SGA without Davis, LBJ, and gather more distance between us & Klutch.

Durant? Too old. He's a band-aid. I'm good. We really just need to move on completely. One of the things I like that Ainge did in the Cleveland transaction for Mitchell was going and acquiring Sexton and signing him immediately. Nice young piece he locked up. That's the direction we need to be exploring with AD, IMO.

Just cut the bandaid off and move on...

If we're trading both picks with no stipulations, I'm negotiating for Washington and settling on Oubre if I can't get Washington. Russ/Nunn/Gabriel, 2027 and 2029 1sts for Hayward, Rozier, Washington.

Then trade Christie, Beverley, 2023 2nd rounder for Josh Richardson.

    PG: Reaves/Rozier/Schroder
    SG: Hayward/Walker/Ryan
    SF: LeBron/Richardson/Brown Jr/
    PF: Washington/JTA/
    C: Davis/Bryant/Jones

That's a team with 9 or 10 legit NBA players. A full rotation with no weak links.

I had assumed Ham helped select and still don’t think they did as rotely stated here such a bad job. If we’d had everyone from the beginning with their career ave shooting and LeBron being LeBron as he should be at his age, with not this year picked to suck shooting so far, and AD approaching where he should be …. it probably wouldn’t have been this bad. Most everyone here also wanted Jones and Bryant.
