Yeah. I’ve always been fine with moving the picks and agree that there are ways to mitigate losing them.

We’re in the tank now. If we don’t make a move we run the risk of AD and LeBron getting injured. Also, What Utah did was the equivalent of us trading Russ and AD, that’s why they’re a decent team. They got what they could for Mitchell now and got 2 very nice players and like 3 or 4 picks. Gobert is sort of equivalent to Russ in that both are overrated, and I still think there’s a good deal to be had for only 1 pick out there, we’re just being stubborn about long term salary and hitting some mythical home run. But, whatever, I’ve said my piece, not looking forward to AD either breaking down eventually and/or walking when we could have rebuilt sooner by moving him, or before all that giving NO a top 10 pick. It hasn’t already happened for me, we can still turn this into a playoff team if we don’t wait any longer.

they got 5 picks for gobert! teams are asking two picks to take russ.

anyway, i don't know about what we're doing. nothing definitive has come out. i do know teams asked for more from us than from others. that's been reported.

and i still don't get why NO getting more matters. we don't have our pick no matter what. if you root for NO to lose so our pick is higher, i get it. but what NO gets affects us very little if at all.

We should try to get some shooters and a big on this team to see if AD and Bron still have it. If not, then we can blow it up, get some promising young players and picks and have a team we can root for. Because this is really not working. To be completely fair - the effort is actually there. Our defense looks good. The coaching staff have some decent offensive sets going. But there's absolutely no balance on the team, no one can shoot, and very few people can create their own shots.

I think Brooklyn blows it up and KD gets moved to a potential contender. A team like the Raptors, Miami or Suns.

We should try be a third team in that trade, send out Nunn and Bev plus one of our firsts. Look for a good piece back like OG Annouby or Mikal Bridges alongside Kessler Edwards. That could really help with our SF position.

Good, I hope this keeps him in shape so he’s ready to come home if we dump Jones in a trade.

Dwight definitely showed his age last year, but it seemed that he still had it in bursts. With the current roster we wouldn’t need to rely on him to be a regular part of the rotation every game, so I think we’d be able to keep his legs fresh in which case I think he’d be more effective than what we’ve seen from Jones so far.

for balanced coverage, he put up an average of 6/6 in losses to bkn and chicago in the past week. hate to see what this fanbase would do to him in those cases.

glad he careered against NO, though. we have their pick!

Yeah, I actually do appreciate balanced coverage. I saw some accounts yesterday showing THT making a nice step back three vs the Clippers yesterday being like “the Lakers traded this guy”. That was his only make, he was 1-5 for the game, he really isn’t good at basketball. But, to be fair, I would take having a player that could have big games like this, AD hasn’t scored 30 points in a game since February 3rd this year, it’s almost like he stops trying once gets to 25-28 points.

One report indicates that Los Angeles has targeted Josh Richardson and Doug McDermott in a trade that would send Westbrook to the San Antonio Spurs. However, it doesn’t sound like L.A. is willing to part with much draft capital in such a deal, so talks haven’t gained traction.

“‘According to a source, the Los Angeles Lakers have targeted Richardson and McDermott in a trade that would involve Russell Westbrook,’ wrote LJ Ellis of SpursTalk. ‘However, talks haven’t gained traction because the Lakers are only willing to relinquish a pair of second round picks in return for both players

It is done as-is. What sucks is would it have been done right now had we made a Russ trade this off-season? They made a good point on Silver Screen and Roll spaces just now, this roster was built with a Russ trade in mind, and then they just never did it. If we wanted to keep him we should have built the roster with him on it in mind, not one foot in one one thinking one foot in another. It’s a mess, it was always going to be a mess going in. Waiting 20 games is a joke, the season will be actually over by then, we’ll be maybe 5-15 or 6-14.

Poor leadership mean hemming and hawing instead of going for it.
