Randle is strong, and he knows how to use his body to his advantage. Accompany that with his aggression, you'll see a lot of the same advantages in the NBA as he had in college.

According to what I've read, we play the Wolves the 10th, the Sixers the 11th, and the Knicks the 13th. Pretty interesting schedule, #1 pick's team vs #2 pick's team right off the bat. Then Okafor gets to play us day 2 and perhaps go out and try to show what we missed out on, should make for some interesting games. The Knicks game I find no big interest in, other than its what Phil put together vs what we put together, and perhaps if they steal some FA we wanted to sign there will be a little incentive to root against them a little extra, even though that player would almost certainly not be playing in the game.

Biggest question to me is, is Randle fully recovered and cleared for these games? I feel like last we read he was doing 2 on 2 or 3 on 3 stuff still. We've seen him practicing jumpers and seen him dunking, but is he cleared for games? I sure hope so, can't wait to see the kid play again after so long.

Yeah I was confused because that picture shows Randle and says the 4th, but we don't start until next week.

From what I've heard Randle is good to go for the Summer League. He's been taking it slow while they reteach his body how to run and jump without putting an extra load in certain areas. That's what lead to his foot problem which then in turn lead to his leg break.

I'm absolutely excited to see what the kid has been up to. All the reports are glowing. It'll be a bright moment after this horrible, horrible FA period.

I'm in Orlando, as many of you know, and I was watching the SEC Channel running through some sports highlights today. They showed an LSU/Kentucky game from two years ago. I saw Randle on the floor, so I watched the beginning of the game. What I saw was pretty bad.

He did fight for rebounds, and fought hard. I liked that.
But he was ALWAYS the last player back on defense, leaving his team to play 4 on 5 a lot. And that's with WCS on his team, mind you. WCS busted his butt up and down the court.

Calipari yanked Randle 4 1/2 minutes into the game.

    Sorry. That was a downer.

That won't be tolerated with us. Especially with Hibbert on board.

haha I was just making a point that I'm not worried about his defensive effort on something that happened 2 years ago.

I didnt re-read what I wrote and after doing so I understood the confusion. I basically tricked over myself trying to make a point

Gotcha. But if you think about what he's done in the year and a half since then, it's been mostly "unable to play basketball," so I am a bit bummed about it.
