Well, you see, we f***** suck. Winning one game doesn’t change that. Trading for those guys, and possibly Oubre or Plumlee as well gives us 3 rotation players. If it’s Oubre we get 2 wings, if it’s Plumlee we get a PG to replace Russ, a wing, and a super solid C so AD can go back to the 4. You don’t really need more than vet minimums when you have 5 guys on decent contracts. Those contracts can also be re-traded to get multiple guys making 11-12 mil or 15 mil. If we DON’T make a trade like this we have 30 mil or so in cap space next off-season plus minimums, so actually less to work with. This team still can’t shoot, they had one good game would be nice to address that need with a trade still IMO. If we intend to move forward and be good or actually try to make a run at the playoffs we need change, we need to think more creatively, field a deep team, not a 3 “stars” and minimums team.

Its too early to say if this won't work. I haven't seen this lack of size we have as the problem to date. It's not written in stone that this current group can't shoot at least their career averages from 3. If they had we'd be at least 5-1 now.

Also how can we even trade for Rozier, Hayward, Oubre or Plumlee? With what? Russ makes 47 million dollars. Rozier and Hayward make 51.5 million. Oubre 12.5 million Plumlee 9 million. We are assuming that The Hornets are just wanting to dump all these guys? We'd have to send something else back with Westbrook, besides a draft pick, and they'd have to want it. Meaning at least Walker and probably Reaves too. Its not a given that makes us any better, than we are right now. I think we can do better than this deal later.

KD wanted Nash gone. So he's gone, the GM might be next, KD wanted him gone too. It's funny how the owner " stood by " his HC 7 games into the season. Perhaps he's about to blow it all up and get rid of everyone. That might work out well for the Lakers. They have a few players that we could use, that could be had with Westbrook's contract too.

    That didn't take long.

The Brooklyn Nets plan to hire suspended C Bags coach Ime Udoka after agreeing to part ways with Steve Nash on Tuesday, league sources with direct knowledge of the discussions told The Athletic.

    • Udoka, 45, was set to miss the C Bags’ entire season after violating team policies.
    • Nash, 48, was 94-67 in two-plus seasons and off to a 2-5 start this year.
    • The decision to move on from Nash comes amid months of turmoil in the organization, including yet another off-court controversy involving Kyrie Irving that began last week.
    Backstory
Udoka was suspended in September as a result of having an intimate relationship with a female member of the organization, The Athletic reported. Boston granted the Nets permission to speak to Udoka and will allow him to leave freely, sources said.

Nash, a Hall of Fame point guard who played the majority of his career with the Suns, spent five seasons as a player development consultant for the Warriors before taking his first NBA head-coaching job with the Nets.

He led Brooklyn to the Eastern Conference semifinals in his first year before they lost to the eventual NBA champion Bucks, and last season the Nets were swept by the C Bags in the first round of the playoffs.

    This story will be updated.

From a purely on-court basketball perspective, this is a win for the Nets. Nash seems like a good guy but he's not a good coach. I'm not sure if Udoka's old-school toughness approach will work with this Nets team, but its a better bet than Nash.

Still feels that there must be a lot more to the Udoka story that we don’t know about yet.

Wonder if Boston lets Udoka out of his deal to sign with the Nets… and THEN starts leaking some of the more problematic details about the Udoka scandal to screw over the Nets

The Boston story is still fishy. He got suspended for an inappropriate comment. Yet the relationship was deemed to be consensual? So they interviewed the woman first and found it to be a consensual sexual relationship, but he was a suspended for an inappropriate sexual comment that he made prior to this consensual relationship? Doesn't make any sense.

28 million for 65 games, $432,000 per game by comparison the highest pay he ever made per game prior to that was $165,000. Actually more than twice as bad a signing as Mozgov/Deng. Nice going Jim/Mitch The Bonehead Twins.

We won't lose 5 out of 6 either. Most definitely we won't see the same teams at the top of the conference today, sitting there by January. Why can't we improve?
