Those are Mamba like numbers but no way they’ll trade for Kyrie now. It’s not Dr. Buss running the team, the priority now is not winning but aim to conform with the current thing.

yeah, someone reminded everyone to look at the comments from page 1 of the russ thread, and i said i wasn't sure about the trade, but i knew that rooting for russ would be easy. and i still feel that way. he's a good guy. he's having difficulty facing his basketball mortality like many before him.

kyrie would be hard to root for, sort of like how some on the forum (sirron) feel about lebron.

Would it be possible for the Lakers to pick him off waivers and get him a psychologist?

The kid has potential to be very good

    yeah...i've got concerns there...

better to wait and see if he can get his head straight. people are laughing about it because it's weird, but this particular kind of behavior could be (and probably is, based on the subtext of his statement about it) part of some deep-seated psychological problems that can manifest beyond just this class of behaviors.

i hope for him and those around him that he can get out of it, but i'm not lining up to be the shepherd as a basketball organization.

If Dr Buss we’re alive he would but the Lakers now is Jeannie’s team, she will choose not getting this kid or Kyrie because it will displease her Hollywood friends who are paragons of virtue.:giggle:

If you pick him off waivers, you have to be able to eat his salary, I believe. He would have to clear waivers and sign as a FA for the minimum.

I wouldn't even consider it until I knew the full extent of this thing. You have to hire someone to investigate the matter and all the complaints. You don't want to be associated to anything like the Watson case. Right now it just sounds like exposure of private parts, but at one point most of the early Watson claims were just exposure. Then the assault stuff flooded in. This is especially a bigger deal because Jeanie is a female owner. If there's even a 5% chance this is bigger than we know, she wouldn't want to be 100 miles of that signing.

well this just means he's proud of his junk. Dudes with little weiners aren't really into showing them off to women so that they point and laugh as if you just got out of the cold ocean and you have to explain you're a grower and not a shower like @KareemtheGreat33 explained to me how it happened once.

That kid will be lucky to play overseas at this point.

    I wouldn’t want him.

where did someone say anything about gay? I thought hammer was a Pelosi reference. Unless you know something I don't about weird hammer fetishes.... Sounds painful.

but all in good fun since we regular rib each other. Since there isn't any good basketball to root for, stuff like this occupies time.

Okay not to get into any non-basketball discussion but after Kyrie was so unapologetic in his post-game interview it honestly wouldn’t surprise me if Joe Tsai gets fed up and cuts him.

If that happened, despite all the controversy and annoying antics around Kyrie… it would be a no brainer to sign him right? Like it would come with a lot of BS to deal with but we are that desperate for on-court help

Primo didn't rape or didnt inevitably touched someone else. He was just touching himself, give him a chance, beggars can't be choosers , he can help

Nope, do not want. Conspiracy theory nut job who thinks he’s the smartest guy in the room and super enlightened when he’s really a moron. If we signed Kyrie I’d be out til he’s gone, can’t support that on my team. This thread has also turned gross regarding Primo. I know we’re mostly men here, but good lord guys this isn’t junior high, it’s a crime what he was doing if true.

yeah, i wasn't jazzed about kyrie over the summer, even though he'd obviously help us win more games.

btw, i'm not sure the nets and lakers are as dead as everyone thinks (as evidenced here). they're not getting killed left and right; just struggling to gain footing. i think the coaches have a real job in both cases, though, as it's really easy to lose the locker room when you start out like these teams have.

re: primo, i'm not sure what folks are talking about here, but just no. and i'm not worried about it--we won't pick him up, nor will anyone else until he's had some treatment and demonstrated himself to be stable and a non-threat. this could take a while.
