is Lebron himself fine with no more shots at a ring? or will he start squirming for a trade when he inevitably realizes where this season is headed?

he's just focused on breaking the scoring record and playing with bronny

don't think he really cares about winning another ring

Trade everyone. What a cluster****, going back to that Brick trade. By far the worst trade in the Lakers history. To take a championship team and dismantle it entirely.

I’m not oppose to it. Let’s give AD to the Hawks for future considerations. Give LeBron to Miami for a second round pick:Laugh::Laugh::Laugh:

Because we won in the bubble, everyone keeps talking about this special championship team. The truth is Lebron and AD came well rested and injury free into a 1 off situation and played incredible ball.

On top of that the depth perception and no live fans had our team shooting abnormally good (as the bubble did for everyone).

We won’t get that perfect storm ever again, two healthy top 10 players with defenders that magically hit shots. Not with AD and Lebron. That was a flash in the pan one off special.

It was ALL Playoff Rondo in LeBron and AD’s heads.

we normally agree, but not here. it was a shared circumstance, and i don't buy the theory that we uniquely benefitted. clippers and denver were healthy and had empty gyms, too. our bad shooters stepped up and made a few when we needed them, which could happen in any year, imo.

that team was pretty well-built, as was the team the next year that got derailed by injuries. the russ trade screwed everything up. but acting like the title wasn't legit to support the idea that what's happening now was inevitable makes no sense to me.

yes. i know we're bad, but we've played one of if not the league's toughest schedule. utah isn't going to finish 2nd. portland isn't going to finish in the top 5. SA isn't going to finish in the playoffs, etc.

have people never watched the first week of the nba season before?

it's super early, but still a fun question to ask while the place is melting down

I never said the title wasn’t legit. I find it quite the opposite - totally legit. Everyone had an even playing field, good health, good rest, a great gym setting etc etc. We came out on top of a totally even environment.

But, I do consider it a perfect storm. In what other season do you get your team to gel then take a break so everyone can get healthy and come back into a gym environment where the whole league shoots considerably better due to no fans and better depth perception?

It was literally a perfect storm for us - the team found chemistry, while the gym allowed our good defenders to shoot better and our injury prone superstars to be healthy when it mattered.

I think if we didn’t stop that season when we did AD misses time and Lebron probably goes into the playoffs banged up.

right, but so do opponents. think kawhi's there if he has to play all year? and we were in first place prior to the stoppage.

the team was good. the idea behind the team (defense-first role players around the big two) was good.

Man, we are a bad basketball team.

Idk what else to say. Was it a Boston C bag fan who set the schedule up this way? Lol. Couldn't throw in the Kings or Magic to help us out. I guess you can say Portland, lol.

4 games in: LBJ looks 38, AD is still hobbled, and we can't shoot.

    Idk anymore.

Can't shoot the three, confirmed. I am not sure what to do at this point.

Lebron’s age is quickly showing especially with us needing him to carry such a big workload.

At this point you’d expect your second star to start carrying the team more but AD can barely carry himself before breaking down.

lol, and then dame goes down the next game of course. couldn't have strained the calf when we desperately needed the win, could you? because the strained calf was coming.

people were joking about this in another thread, but what if...we just stop taking them? they're giving us so much space that guys can take two dribbles and hit a pull up. yeah, it's the worst shot in basketball, but not for us. the worst shot we can take is a wide open three right now.

i'd tell lonnie walker to take a big dribble in and take the long two, tbh. i'd tell AD not to position himself for a catch beyond the arc. if your defender is going to be in the paint anyway, maybe just join him there. shoot off the dribble twos like it's 1996 and crash the glass some.
