Our shooting is absolutely awful. Things have gone as I feared as basically as soon as things got real this supporting cast fell off a cliff.
lonnie played great. reaves was his solid self. we got bupkus from nunn, russ, and beverley on offense. mostly agree; wouldn't go as far as the last part. i get not wanting to waste another full season. it's frustrating. i still want to see us play a variety of teams and get more comfortable with rotations and such. i said that last year and was crushed when nothing ever got better, but i think the principle still stands: these guys have barely played together, and we're playing the best teams in the league, who have played together and don't have a new coach/system.
Clippers looked like elephant dung. Kawhi will be a shell of himself by playoff time. Not sure why everyone is all crazy for the Clackers.
they went all in on 3 pt shooting last season and still couldn't shoot the ball to save their lives what made anyone think that would magically improve this season with all of those "shooters" gone and replaced by athleticism? i wouldn't be surprised if they break the record for lowest 3 pt% in a season in league history
This team was built to play in transition. Which makes sense with LeBron, Russ and AD. We got good runs yesterday not based in shooting but getting stops and getting easy baskets. We just gotta do that more consistently which may come with more continuity. This team is only playing for a month, it takes time. In half court settings we just need to rely on LeBron and AD greatness.
nothing will change if they keep shooting this poorly today's NBA is all about who can shoot the 3 better
We have no true shooters, yet we've attempted over 40 Three Pointers in each of our first 2 games. We're a dreadful 22% (19-85) from behind the arc so far..
I don't even think it's about having a bunch of players shooting above 40% from 3. I would be ok if they were shooting in 32-34%, but hit timely shots from beyond the arc when it matters and defended at an elite level. Basically i'm asking for our title team from 2020.
That's because teams are packing the paint and daring them to shoot. Until they make those shots, closer shots at the rim will not be available.
once again i have questions about the source of the data. for example, AD hit two threes last game, and i'm certain he's hit at least one more (and i think more than one) jumper. the point stands, but there's some data cookin' going on to make it.
Our old guys tonight KCP - 7-14, 3-6 threes, 17 pts Kuz - 8-16, 4-8 threes, 26 pts Caruso 1-4, 0-3 threes, 3 pts Ok I’m done haha
I got labelled a troll and Westbrook fan because I didn’t want to trade the picks. Once you look into what trading the picks means for us for the rest of the decade you see that unless we can get a package that makes a clear cut contender it’s just not worth it.
