I'm just as likely to go with the flow these days than argue a pointless point haha. Jerry West thinking that Lebron's legacy shouldn't be affected by his Finals winning record is a bit self serving though.

If you don't judge leBronze for it, then you can't judge West for his abysmal Finals record.

I liked Jerry a lot, and thought it was a bad call to let him go, but in the end, all things are revealed. Maybe it was for the best.

But unlike Jerry as a player, leBronze deserves all of the hate he gets.

He could end up in a car accident. Double compound leg fractures. He could develop cancer from too many HGH injections over his career. He could finally piss the wrong guy off that just decks him and sends a tooth up into his skull. His groin could pop. On both sides. There's time. There's hope. Right?

He speaks as one who only cares about making points for the all time points leaders.

He looks good still, but the talent gap on this team is huge. We have some youth now, sure, but there's no shooting and of course there's no chemistry either. So, it's going to be hard to win much this season. Except if something suddenly changes, but I just don't see how right now.

hmmm...did we get better shots in the second half? i didn't watch because...well, i saw the first half.

i thought many of our looks from three weren't great in the first half, tbh.

gs's looks came off ball and player movement. ours came off standing around and passing to whomever was most open (by design), and even then, gs generally closed out pretty well. AD's only corner attempt was well-contested, for example. they left bev, walker, and russ.

so lebron's right that we don't have great shooters, but playing matt ryan did absolutely nothing for us, imo. we'd look better offensively if people moved with purpose, and almost nobody does unless they have the ball in their hands.

gs had 31 assists on 45 makes. we had 23 on 41, i think. and even on the unassisted shots, they were attacking a scrambling d off the dribble, not just trying to break their guy down because the offense stalled.

Hes tended to start seasons low since he left Miami. Thought he looked pretty spry compared to this tbh

he came out of the gates lethargic and settling, imo. once he saw we were about to get beat down, he started attacking the basket (as did russ and AD, to their credit). he got on the boards, too. he, AD, and even russ were fine. we just don't play as a team on offense, which is to be expected given the circumstances.

if you listen to the interview, he handled the question well enough. He didn't blame anyone. He said you can still win, but you have to defend and do other things well. Nothing to see here.

I thought his comments were fine overall. Nothing was said that hasn't been discussed pretty much every where about our shooting and also noted that he missed some good looks.

    Yeah, he isn't wrong here.

This is the issue, though. He needs the space on this team to be at his best "offensively". So, while we don't have many "lasers" on this team, aren't we doing him a disservice by not putting him in the best possible position to succeed by the way this roster has been constructed?

Either way, if we play him at the 4, we cannot have 3 guards out there. I love Ham, but I don't know what he was thinking. And one of those guards (Bev) isn't a starter...

DB from LG usually does recaps for peeps who missed the game, but I thought this was accurate.

While aive advocated going bigger and starting JTA, if we have LBJ at the 4, it does more congestion in the paint.

But what's the alternative? Starting a guard at SF? I'd suggest we revert him back to the 3, throw Gabriel in as a small ball 5, and pray that AD can find his stroke.

Walker is streaky, too. Then, you add in WB who's just a clunky fit. We're going to need a trade.

i wonder why jones got buried. i'd like to see jones/AD/lebron/nunn/russ (really reaves, but i know that's not happening).

I don't like it either AD at the 5 plus a bunch of small guys is not small ball it's midget ball.
Hell with the shooting we have isn't worth at least putting Bryant in there: he's got a chance to a better shooter then our guards (sad I know)
