Ok, have fun dying on that hill. We played big, don’t know how you can argue different. We had Kuz and Morris off the bench, we weren’t running regular 3 guard lineups. We f***** started Russ, Walker, and Beverley last night, it’s an absolute joke. For our title clinching game we started Caruso, KCP, Green, LeBron, and AD. We had Rondo, Kuz, Morris off the bench, with McGee and Howard available as well. If you can’t see that Kuz and Morris were really big in allowing us to play big I don’t know what to tell you. We have some tall guys now sure, Gabriel, Ryan, Swider, JTA, Christie. 3 of those guys suck, 1 is struggling, and 1 is a 19 year old rookie. It’s not the same, we don’t have reliable height on this team, our best and most reliable players aside from our 2 stars are all 6’5 and under. They can’t all play, because that makes us too small, I don’t understand what the argument even is here.

Positive spin: he's trying to keep his value down to force this trade through.

The 20+ game trial is the same thing Pincus thought the team would do. Yay!

dying on the hill because it's a fact, and it annoys me that people want to tell stories that aren't true. we played a lot of small guards and won a title. we lacked big, playable wings not named lebron and won a title. after everyone incessantly b****ed about it, to boot!

people aren't complaining about not playing centers right now; they're complaining about not playing big sfs. LEBRON IS THE BIG SF DAMMIT. THIS IS THE HILL.

caruso, kcp, and green are basically the same size as reaves, russ, and lonnie.

i also think that people overestimate morris's utility. he was effectively out of the league the next year and was only partially playable that year.

if you want to complain that we're not playing a big front line, i'm listening. but arguing that you can't win without a wealth of big wings is just junk, imo. teams (including ours) have done it.

and don't get me started about how i mentioned that kuz was large and that was useful and i had to fight almost every person on this forum to not trade him for that year's version of beverley (if not beverley himself!).

FIRE ROB. (for wanting to trade for a shooter while we're all complaining about shooting).

I'm just saying that - if we decided to get rid of KCP, Kuz and the Bald Eagle, we get something other than Russ. We lost all depth, and replaced it with a bunch of old guys who could not play any D, and then a combination of guys who are on average younger but can't really shoot and with zero chemistry. At least our old guys knew their roles and how to play together. That has to count for something. Before we had an actual team with depth. Now we have no real team and no actual depth.

And yeah, Turner got broken by the ball boy. That's just unbelievable.

I think if they make a move they will take a lesser deal from another team.

I think they mainly just don’t like Rob.

We need another team to get desperate IMO. Not sure if that even works that well given that we will stink too and I don’t know if we will be willing to take on a contract or two.

I was thinking about Indy's request of us taking on Theis. Couple weeks from now, we might be the ones asking for him to be included considering the current head scratching issues with our front court.

absolutely. the russ trade was bad. you'll get zero argument from a sentient being about that.

but the sentiment that led to it (we suck; everyone must go for things we don't have) is sort of brewing right now, too.

let's not make another russ trade to compound the damage of the russ trade.

i either hadn't read or forgot about that part. but i'm guessing that was IN ADDITION to giving up all the picks. if they want me to take theis and i give zero picks, done deal yesterday. hell, give me your worst contract (i guess that's theis for them?). i just don't want to forfeit all chances at improving the team to take on your oft-injured soon-to-be FA center and another year of your one-dimensional guard (that's not entirely fair, as hield can score in ways other than spotting up).

my cousin shared this tweet...seems fake, as utah is giving us a 23' pick, if it's true that pick is either heavily protected or coming from a different team

Joey and Jesse having a larger voice will hopefully help. Beyond that, we gotta hope for a miracle.

Kind of comes down to the 2023 pick to me as I think the Jazz pick will be high. The reporter is legit but I have a hard time believing Ainge would give up a good pick.
