anyway, i can't believe lebron and AD are already teetering on 4-week absences and we haven't even played a game yet.

not to go all slick on ya, but there's no chance for us with this kind of stuff happening.

on the bright side, i'm now THRILLED we didn't pay picks to move russ. can't imagine what it would feel like to be indiana west whilst controlling zero picks for 6 years and not even having three of them.

Your problem is the "nothing will change my mind". You should approach life with more openness, you would learn a bunch

Btw, I think it was Kuz who said he was packing to Sacramento for the Hield deal

I gotta think those two are going to push through anything that isn't a major injury but you never know.

right, but how long until the minor foot/back thing turns into a major foot/back thing? i prefer not starting out with the minor thing.

camp injuries always have me leery--usually it means you weren't in great shape, and it often takes a long time to get in the right condition. especially for older guys like lebron.

i don't know. i hate how some of my early preseason optimism was basically snuffed out before a real game got to be played. just more injuries, more dysfunction, more bad defense.

and we get to play gs and the clips for games 1 and 2. followed by a couple games with denver! think i'll crawl in a hole.

Yeah I'm with you on this. I hadn't gone full Slick, but I'd almost talked myself into us being in the mix for 5-7 spot in the West if things broke right for us. Last few days definitely put a damper on all that. Hoping we pull off a win tonight but optimism is low.

it would be miraculous if we won any of those 4 games. and i'm not loving portland, minnesota, and NO as the "easy" games in our first 7.

it's quite possible we won't be favored in any of our first 7 games, which is wild. that we finished the preseason looking so terrible just piles it on. i mean, even if we looked like we did at the start of the preseason and were healthy, what's your expected record there? 3-4?

I thought (or prayed) that we might be able to steal an early one from Golden State, split games with Nuggets and stumble to like 4-3 with losses to the clippers, nuggets and either NO/or Minny.

Now I can totally see us losing all of them. lol

i wasn't exaggerating when i said i'm not sure if we'll be favored by the odds makers in any of our first 7 games? maybe the home game vs. NO, but i'm not even sure about that.

I think the game comes on at Noon for me. I may watch just because I have masochistic tendencies about this team.

I'm almost certain this team is never going to be a contender, even if by a miracle we swap Westbrook for 2 decent rotation pieces.
